I'm a VERY long suffering holder of both G's. GENL may well have doubled but even if it doubled again I'd still be under water. Oh well... IMM looks a bit binary to me but I've followed it for ages as a friend/ex SwissBank colleague was Chairman and one of the founders - he sadly passed away way too young last year so I feel duty bound to hold on to it (for a little while longer anyway!) in his honour.

Thankfully bailed due to boredom with PANR a few weeks ago. A couple of mates who didn't have been badly stung today however. I bought a few this morning for a bounce, no plans to hold them very long though, still too risky. A pity, I like the company.

Morning chaps Spec - couldn't agree more - time for some common sense to prevail over lily-livered-lefty-liberal politics and get hard on the thugs and street urchins perpetuating this gun and knife culture problem. Babbs - thanks for the papers - I think you'll come good with C4XD if you can be patient - I'd buy some too if I wasn't up to my eyeballs in other shyte stocks - not least Veloshyte which continues to confound me (and EQT) Will we ever learn.... MCRO looks like it's trying to break 10 - might be good for a trade...

Hmmm maybe, NH - there are quite a few Vaster warrants out there, though we do know where a lot of them are held (I have quite a few myself from those two 0.285 placements, and a couple of pals have quite a few also) and I and those folk aren't selling (yet!). I think it's also traders doing their thing - still a lot of people sitting on decent profit overhanging from the placements and lows of the last few weeks/months. It needs the mythical L to really re-rate imo.

Morning all Been having a look at C4 - nice find Babbs - might let the froth settle before venturing in though - up 140% last I looked. Wow. Still only small premium to recent highs though. Need to have a closer look at the books when I've a minute. OBT second round of placement hits market today/tuesday (I know cos I'm one of the mug punters lol) - might see some offloading I suppose. FCR - a Birdy bargepole job imo. VAST keeps drifting and will continue to do so till more news hits imo but looking cheap down here. VLS - looks like heading sub-10, got to be worth more than that...? Happy Easter all.

Babbs - Hawk -am a bit lost with VLS myself. I suspect a bit of derring-do going on ownership-wise and the fundamentals are much better now that the RINS situation is clear. That said I sold half my sb position down to de-risk a bit. So it's bound to go up from here...! Meanwhile WTF is Vast doing back down in the mid 60s. Got to be cheap now it's substantally de-risked with a massive sugar daddy in place. Then again I just bought more so it's downhill from here then lol.

Morning all - Babbs welcome back! Spec - re FaceBook - totally agree. I'm not really a trader as such but am not averse to a bit of bottom-fishing - did anyone else spot MCRO yesterday - down 50-odd % on a moderately-crappy-but-not-that-bad-really RNS - just had a look at the fundamentals which look basically ok - might be good for a bounce? VAST - God knows - they'd better announce something sharpish or it could be carnage.

Babbs - any thoughts on VLS today? That Rns was a good 'un (albeit expected) but the sp reaction was underwhelming for such a tightly held share. I like the fundos there but not sure if 'that's all for now folks' - can't make my mind whether to bale for now or buy more.

Tritom - agree on all counts. 'We are where we are' as they say and we have to make the best of it. But both companies' (and I suppose Ebioss too but then in fairness they have no obligation) lack of communication re the 'whys and wherefores' in the aftermath of such a catastrophic sequence of events is at best disappointing, at worst insulting. If they do need money, and want to come to the market for it, they'd better buck their ideas up (and get a new Nomad and FD) if they want any more of my money, that's for sure.

Setanta - You are right re the need for raising funds. But I have to disagree re FInance Director and Northlands. Yes they probably needed the money - maybe urgently (though imo the urgency was doubtful!). The directors have a fiduciary responsibility to shareholders to do the best deal they can. The share price at the time was still at a substantial premium to the previous share offering and the market was awash wiith positivity re forthcoming contracts. It may not have been terribly popular to do a share offering (it rarely is, is it!) but the advisors (Northland) should never have offered a CLN of this type as an alternative! Northland knew of the likely consequences (the BoD maybe didn't to be fair to them, but that's surely what 'advisors' like Northland are paid handsomely for! And THAT's what makes them culpable in my view. I'd like to hear how you defend their advice and actions...

Actually, on further reflection Jarv I'll rephrase that. Ebioss are big lads with big advisors (Paribas, Bankia, Inversis etc) and have plenty of experience of raising funding via capital markets both bonds and equity. They too have ahareholders to answer to. They too - maybe especially - should have known better - I wonder if Madden consulted them, sounds like a couple of well-placed phone calls (and that 30 second Bedsit google) could have averted this bizarre mess.

That's my point, I agree Jarv. He should have known better. The Spaniards can be excused to some extent (notwithstanding that they had most out of all of us to lose - that a google of Bedsit Boy takes 5 secs to reveal his past and raise alarm bells). Ebioss are big lads with big advisors and their own shareholders. They have expertise in raising bond issues (via Luxembourg) themselves in recent times. I bet there are a few awkward questions being asked in Barcelona this weekend.
