Marine - I'm fairly sure, but not 100% certain, that in general a private company has no obligation to make any announcements - just because a shareholder is listed doesn't pass the obligation 'up the ladder' as it were. However if that listed company has been made aware of something significant in the private company which would significantly affect it, then it does have to make an announcement. Someone more qualified than me can probably give more specific info for specific situations though. Re THR - been looking at it too - looks like a classic pump to me but the story isn't bad from what I've seen either. Keeping an eye on the ASX quote - the locals often have better 'on the street' knowledge. Sub 28 - maybe worth a punt.....

I've taken a few too. I'd have taken more if I didn't have so much (by my standards anyway) invested in other African interests (including Vast, Zioc, Prem in case you're wondering). I hear on the grapevine that the directors and close interests have actually taken 2m worth, which is always encouraging. Decision based on my own research and not influenced by the 'Aim Sheriff' et al, by the way!

Hmmm.....Crapita eh? crap margins combined with pricing risk on long term contracts, heavy debt burden and employ hordes of people. What's not to like. I suppose the gearing effect of improving any of those factors even by a small amount could be good, and it's probably oversold short-term. Not for me though.

HNR looking good - the increased acreage was leaked yesterday but the sp didn't react, should do so now the news is official? Interesting to compare and contrast Jan perfprmancenof Dow vs Ftse - uk not helped by CLLN and Crapita i suppose but even so....

Was too skinflint to pay over 5 for NCCL a couple of days ago, then hovered over the big green buy button again at 6 but chickened. Grrrr. Spec do you think it's got much more in it short term? Got some more NTOG this morning - looks like it could be in for a good few months. ZIOC looking very sprightly indeed this morning - (leaky?) Can get the Vaster at under .7 this morning - might be good for a trade as more news is due (quarterlies and, dare i mention the 'L' word...)

Yes guys nice re Vast. Probably got a bit more to go before more news hits too. And VRS seems to have found a new level - should have held on a bit longer to more of them than I did. Oh well. Was also just looking at my MSYS - holding on for 5p+ too. And Mysq seems to have gone back to sleep... Been looking at IOG again - seems to have had a bit of interest today - it's been eerily quiet round there of late - must surely be due an update/news?

Could be an interesting week for the Vaster - great interview with The Crocodile on R4 at the Davos beano last week "what would you say to Mr Trump, Mr Mgwangwa?" Seems madness doesn't it. Hard to be sure but I suspect there's been a bit of overhang still on the brokers' books from that latest placement - I was suspicious at the time when they said 'fully subscribed' - I subscribed for a chunky number of shares (for me anyway) in the overallotment - fully expecting to be scaled back - but was lumbered with the lot (not that I mind now of course!) Yesterday's volume should hopefully have loosened a lot of that though so hopefully it can start to move up to where it should be by rights. It always confounds though Vast, doesn't it. Frustrating.

Spec/Vast - I've only had a quick look at it so far - mainly to try and find out the 'price' of the deal in the small print - couldn't see anythibg quoted will have a better look later. Presumably (hopefully?!) cheaper than the original SSG facility?

Well it depends I suppose - on the one hand you're absolutely right of course, I take your point, and I for one don't condone what he did - not my style anyway. But on the other hand, assuming he played by the rules (I assume he did) then it's the rules what's up, isn't it.

Agree Babbs -pyc - they're all bleating like billygoats but he played a blinder. I had a gut feeling that all wasn't what it seemed (while all the time kicking myself for selling at 7 or whatever a couple of weeks ago!!) we can feel better about it now lol. Vast - agree mate - deffo more to come v soon imo and today's news helps allay my sense that something may have been wrong - clearly it was me that was wrong. Hold on tight!

Me too Babbs re Vast - I've never heard of that offtake partner but it's a monster - revenues $112 billion!

Morning all - yep Babbs it's appreciated. On my radar this morning GENL -update - nothing much to see there really, VAST still nowt (odd?). EQT likewise. PYC I got bored and sold last week - typical! Talking of which Babbs - my list of my shop of got-bored-sold-too-early horrors in 2017 included JOG ZOO IAE and LION (no doubt some others I'd rather forget) Doh and quadruple doh!

While you're on Netflix have a butcher's at the documentary they have on there about Bitcoin. They're all going to jail apparently! 'The Windsors' is a good laugh too.
