Manchester-based fashion retailer Boohoo has kickstarted today’s campaign to get laptops to Manchester's by donating 250 new laptops and 40 used iMacs for refurbishment.

John Lyttle, CEO of Boohoo group plc, said: “Young people have felt some of the worst consequences of this pandemic, with their friendships and education significantly disrupted. We all have a role to play in supporting our young people as we begin on the road to recovery and I’d like to thank everyone at the Mayor’s office and my team at boohoo who has helped to make this happen.”

The donation amounts to a contribution of more than £150,000 and the company is working with GMCA to get these out to the schools they have identified as quickly as possible.

A few days ago The Times were saying that the Next bid would get the Arcadia Group. Now Next have dropped out of the bidding.

Sky last night said Shein were the lead bid with more than £300m.

Sounds to me like more guessing games by the UK media.

We'll find out by end of January who has bought Arcadia Group. Until then, I'm sure there will be loads more guessing by the UK media and others.

Now Sky are saying Shein will get it for more than £300m.

I bought CAP-XX some time ago, they're an Australian company based in Sydney, listed on Aim, who design, patent, manufacture and sell supercapacitors. Supercapacitors can be used to extend the life of batteries. They can also be used for things like, energy harvesting.

CAP-XX have bought automated manufacturing equipment from Murata for a pittance and are about to make their first profit ever. CAP-XX have been going for some years, so may be finally everything is coming together for them.

CAP-XX have a court case against Tesla/Maxwell for patent infringement, they have already won a court case against Ioxus and also negotiated a settlement for their court case against Cornell Dubilier.

CAP-XX have already gone up recently from 3p to 14p and dropped back to below 10p, they have green credentials and have patents for supercapacitors for the IOT, Internet of things.

Could be high risk so maybe one to consider or not.

As far as I can make out the stochastics are below 20 on daily now. I'm sure someone on here will correct me if I've got this wrong.

As mcklondon stated in one of his comments when the Boohoo share price reaches 350p, then it will break out and go upwards. Let's hope it gets to 350p and not 315p.

Looks like Boohoo is still trading within its symmetrical triangle and may be for some time.

The catalyst to get out of this triangle may be down to whatever Boohoo managed to buy from Arcadia Group. We won't know the outcome of this until the end of January.

Boohoo share price may go down to 300p or 315p or it may not. No-one knows, not even those who love to guess what will happen to the share price.

Confidence has been lost by institutional investors in Boohoo shares because of the ESG concerns. It will take some time for this confidence to return and for the Boohoo share price to rerate. Boohoo will have to prove that it is serious about ESG. Only then will the institutional investors return.

Loads of patience is needed here. Loads of time is needed here.
