I learnt from you Boohoo have forecast a marketing spend of 13% of revenue which is about £200m. So thank you. Huge marketing spend. This is what Liberum meant when they said Boohoo would get growth at a cost. Huge cost by the looks of it.

I think I remember when I posted on here that Boohoo would have to spend loads of money to get customers back in the US. You pooed, pooed that too. Well here we are £200m marketing cost.

I'm trying to counter your high expectations of Boohoo. It's called debate. We all make mistakes including you.

Oke - I do research. Google is great for research. You need to learn to read between the lines when it comes to companies own presentations, etc. They have to be upbeat. What you need to do is to be considering the opposite of what they say so you get a fairpicture of what you think is really going on.

About £200m marketing spend, 13% of revenue. I used the £1,769m revenue from fy2023. It could be below £200m. Huge marketing spend.

Actual figures are needed. You may be happy with percentages. They mean nothing to the rest of us. With web traffic, quote the actual figures and stop misleading posters.

Again if you're going to quote percentages about web traffic then put the previous actual figure and the new figure otherwise it is misleading posters and could be construed as misinformation.

They are there to sell the company to the analysts and investors. You have to learn to read between the lines for presentations, trading updates and all results.

Yes, Boohoo are expecting a better second half than first half so it looks like they might get some revenue from the USDC. With flat to 5% decline in sales revenue for the whole year means they're losing sales revenue elsewhere. Are Boohoo losing more sales revenue in the UK?

Boohoo itself stated their sales revenue for end of year 2024 would be flat to 5% decline. this means anything from £1769m to £1680m

Boohoo are not expecting the USDC to make an impact on sales revenue. It looks like it's going to take at least a year for the USDC to make its mark.

Debenhams may be profitable. If these numbers were good then Boohoo would be stating them. So probably only just profitable. Looks like it's going to take a few more years for Debenhams to hit any real profitability.

How much is Naomi Campbell costing? How much marketing spend will there have to be for the USDC? How much marketing spend will there have to be to get customers back to buying from Boohoo in the US?

T4g - you talk about 20% increase in web traffic. You don't mention the actual figures. So always include the actual figures otherwise 20% increase sounds great and could be misinformation.

There are no tax reasons to be incorporated in Jersey for Boohoo. Boohoo pays tax in UK. Mahmud Kamani is resident in UK and will pay tax on his shares.

WeeWee - Companies incorporated in Jersey can mean the rights of shareholders may be different from the rights of shareholders in a UK incorporated company.
