They have not done anything wrong in terms of what was released before suspension. Hence no reason to doubt them. If they did do something wrong behind the scenes which has caused this suspension, fair enough, but don't think it's fair to just assume they were doing stuff wrong without any proof. Before the suspension hit, there was very little people could criticise the company (without assuming stuff they had no proof of). That is what I mean. If there was stuff they did wrong which has caused the suspension, I lump that in with the after suspension because the shareholders could not have known that stuff was happening at the time.
I don't think it's fair people bashing posters who are complaining about EUA. EUA have been exemplary before suspension. After suspension they have not.
List of things they've done wrong since suspending:
-Long suspension time, 12 weeks is not short. If no deal arrives upon relisting, likely price crash as a result
-Threat of delisting and no current NOMAD, when EUA said they expected to resolve the NOMAD situation well before
- Lack of detail/info in RNS
-Lack of communication to shareholders (I've sent and email and not had a response (and i'm sure others), not even "sorry can't provide update at this time")
- Feel like they are witholding info, no reason to why we changed NOMAD in the first place, why suspension is so long, or why taking so long to get a new NOMAD.
People are mentioning sale of assets for the reason which could be the saving grace in this scenario. However there has been no mention in the RNS to this being the cause of suspension. This is assuming. And even if this is true, this is still keeping investors in the dark, holding onto their money for an extended period of time.
I'm the opposite. I was fairly certain the price would go up and I thought EUA were very transparent and punctual in their updates. Since the suspension however not really impressed, seems like they take ages to update and it feels like they're not telling everything. Didn't reply to my email either. Pretty shocked at the sudden change.
If this actually does unsuspend, does anyone know whether it's possible to trade midday even if an RNS with the new nomad is released today? Just curious. Would trading have to start by Monday? Cos then I wouldn't have to keep checking all the time.
dvharrison, how did WRN compare to this situation. Was looking for shares in similar situations and someone else told me about WRN and said it was similar circumstances. How similar do you think they are? Even if we unsuspend/relist, I've never really seen something like this ever before personally.
I'm scared to Matt. I honestly dunno how people can post on here and act like everything's fine. Playing it this close isn't really nice to investors. It could be the best company in the world, the threat of delisting is not a great prospect for anyone.
Yep I'm a little conflicted too Marcus. I was thinking of adding more in the morning but didn't because I feared a drop. Was wrong about that because it went up. And given it's gone up thinking of selling my existing stock. But now I'm not sure lloyds will even fall based on what I've seen with HSBC, might be worth just keeping for long term. Current market's tough, it's hard to predict anything when so many things are happening all at the same time, like brexit, America's issues, Oil prices etc. and now this Covid which is something we've never really encountered before.
If delisted, I wouldn't have thought we get anything unless a sale takes place. Hence we would totally be reliant on a sale. Which isn't great in this current covid situation where is not really the ideal time for companies looking to buy assets/expand their business. If we would still be entitled to something without a sale then that would be great, I'd love to be corrected, but I was under the impression we wouldn't.
This is the thing which confuses me. I thought HSBC's Q1 was bad, though perhaps I'm wrong because the price has not gone down. And the other banks are going up despite HSBC's report even though would have thought people would predict Lloyds and Barclays reports partly off HSBC. Was tempted to buy more today, but didn't as I'm a bit unsure how the Q1 results really are being interpreted. Barclays Q1 results are tomorrow, so was thinking lloyds price might go down if barclays go down. But then again if HSBC isn't going down much, barclays might not either, and lloyds might not too, we might be just seeing a steady rise again in the bank shares.
After such a long suspension, it's natural people will be scared and the price will fall. Hopefully because of EUA's strong assets, Palladium price has held up, sales rumours etc., that will prevent it dropping too much and of course might allow it to bounce back again. People are scared of delisting and losing everything, I'm sure people will try and sell get back some of er their original capital once trading resumes.
After reading some of the posts,, I think we will get a nomad on 30th. I think we were suspended or at least continued suspension because of a mistake/financial irregularity. WHI as a result resigned. But thinking about it more, I don't see that EUA would struggle to find a new nomad. People are desperate for work, someone will take them on, and whatever rule they broke, I can't believe it was so bad to deter anyone from working with them again. Hence I think a new nomad will join and then we will eventually resume trading with a probable price drop/crash. I think this makes the most sense, while I'd love this suspension to be over a sale, I just don't think that's likely. But on the positive side if what I said happens and the price crashed, I'd be ok honestly. Better than delisting, and price can always bounce back.
Agree Ethio sadly. EUA really haven't said much for the reason of the delay. And you don't do it last day. Taking 3 months to find a Nomad and waiting till last minute to announce doesn't make sense. It goes back to maybe something went wrong, which as a result the former Nomad wanted to quit. In that situation it would make sense being tough to find another Nomad to take up.
My guess is that EUA are pleading to get an extension for Covid. And we'll see whether or not gets rejected or not.
