EZJ are already pretty well hedged for fuel and USD as per trading update on 13th Oct;

The spot price on 12 October 2022 was around $1,100. easyJet is currently c.78% hedged for USD in H1 of FY23 at 1.29 and c.47% hedged for USD in H2 of FY23 at 1.26. The spot price on 12 October 2022 was around 1.11. US Dollar lease payments remain hedged for the next three years."

They have a shed load of debt to repay and constant re-orgs and re-positioning to stay alive.

If JL fails to turn this around no-one else will be able to as JL has sold off all the good stuff, what left is not able to be spun-off .
