Decided to buy the $USD listed BPCR which has a tighter spread

The trading statement said "In FY23, we estimate that the bottleneck will reduce wholesale revenue by £15-25m and EBITDA by £16-25m, including £8-11m of supply chain costs. We expect there will be knock-on effects from the FY23 disruption in FY24 but we anticipate these should normalise in H124."

So this potential £25M EBITDA hit took £600M of the market cap which is now £1.45Bn

I'm in for long term.

Likewise I am down own over 30% here thinking it was a lower risk entry into H plays.

Maybe it is though when you look at Ceres down below £4 and ITM below 90p.

Toadhall1, thats the issue absolutely 2% margin is a complete waste of time for everyone invested.

The employees get a wage but no-one else will benefit.

Software if its get mainstream is nearly 100% margin.

Hard to believe a distribution centre problem is going to be responsible for a £16 to £25M shortfall in earnings, thats complete mess isn't it?

I know the USA is hard market to crack but c'mon FFS!

The FTSE 250-listed firm identified a bottleneck at its Los Angeles distribution centre, which it said was caused by a "combination of people and process issues".

It expects the impact of lost wholesale revenue and costs incurred as a result of the issues to hit annual earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation by around GBP16 million to GBP25 million.

I'm looking at buying here and it is very lightly traded (like a lot of AIM) the other thing I look at is history of the BoD.

The trading here has got to be speculative based on hope and currently no products and an expensive BoD to pay

Multiple patent applications - The QBT website mentions one ASIC Ultraboost with a 7% improvement
A deal with an existing miner to use QBT software - won't happen imho
Prototype mining rigs - ditto
Court case winnings received - possibly I know nothing about this
Maybe more stuff that we are not even expecting - you will get more pumps like the 3 month consultant

why should this be £100m with REVENUES of only £3.7m?

QBT interests me as it really catchy name and I'm a techy.

Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) 256 has been used for 20 years with many use cases but lets keep it to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a proof of work crypto which relies on SHA256 and the difficulty around the combined hashpower of the entire mining network.

Computing is hardware and software, read about IBM and chess where it took years and brute force computing with AI software to beat 1 person.

Now when it comes to Quantum Computing I think there is misconception that this is software. I'm really not sure QBT have any new silicon to produce a quantum computer.

QBT may have some AI that they call ASIC UltraBoost in a patent filing for up to 20% speed improvement but it is nothing to do with Quantum computing imho.

As such, the calculation of the midstates alongside the calculation of the message digest is significantly optimised. ASIC UltraBoost reduces the Message Schedule calculations for the 3 iterations of SHA256 by approximately 20%.
