I think BTC got sold off like everything else including precious metals and other commodities, basically people were going to cash. The question I have is what happens if and when the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 get sold off, I think once again BTC will get sold off as well, eggs and baskets etc.

Emerik, I don't get the 212 unable to trade situation unless they are aggregating trades or something but i guess there is no commission. Could have placed 1 x 70K trade with HL and it would have got filled almost instantly.

I was thinking that as well, I used to phone a stockbroker to invest in a share in the eighties and they post me out a share certificate a week later. I used to have to buy a newspaper to check the closing price the next day, or maybe even check teletext! Companies reported twice a year and I even went to an AGM or two until I worked out they were very dull.

Peter Wall comes across very well and Argo have livened up their twitter etc.
I am invested here since July 2019 so very happy :) kept buying 10,000 shares at time even when down 50%.
The only thing at the back of my mind is could the Argo team be too open here and almost ramping, hopefully they just are so excited and confident and the future sees Argo being the most efficient miner on the planet!

Now looking at a KR1 investment and see it has jumped 28% today at 51p to buy on Aquis website now at 3pm.

this is the ECB that has an interest rate of MINUS 0.5%

I am an early Argo investor and HL account holder.
d.monies thanks for the X-O advice £5.95 online is good and matches HLs best when you do 20+ trades a month.
Another thing I like about X-O is they have no ISA management fees whereas I'm paying 0.45% to HL for holding share and ETFs. I got into HL for managed funds which are cost optimised no upfront fees and lower ongoing quite often but trading shares is more expensive. I am going to ask X-O Jarvis if I can split transfer the shares/ETF holdings in my ISA.

I have watched the 3 videos and plan to watch 4th this weekend.

I would have seen that RNS a year ago but I am very happy to be reminded of that and especially this - Peter Wall commented: "I am excited and honoured to be appointed chief executive and look forward to working closely with the team to deliver long-term growth and to achieve our aim of becoming the world's biggest publicly listed cryptominer."

It is not easy holding a 10+bagger and I did top slice at 120+ and in moments of doubt do think jeezo it is only mid January!

That said I re-bought on Friday at 105 and 99.3p after the watching the 3rd video and the appointment of Wachsman, specialised in technology, to expand its communications in the North America.

This for me says a lot about the intentions of Peter Wall and the business.
Even if BTC stays in a range $30K to 40K all year ARB are printing serious internet money.

I had put a lower limit order this morning to buy another chunk @ £1.00 and it has not gone got hit yet.

I'd forgotten about that and must have watched in 2019 and that was what convinced me to invest.
I am a network engineer and have never seen a data cantre looking as good as that and i've been in banks & insurance data centres.
The PETA filters really did it for me;)

He also came across really well on the Bloomberg piece as well.

I am long BTC from July 2019 (down 50% at one point so bought more) so this makes up a huge chunk of my portfolio which is great. I'm loving the NASDAQ potential at $2 as well.

I remember this story when it was worth £4M now £210M, reckon they could re-use this story when it hits a $1Bn+
poor guy he doubly hard done by works for Capita as well!

That's a great point NASDAQ brings in whole new investor base, I wonder just how specialist the OTC market is.

So when ARBKF gets to $2 (its ~$1.70 now) so another 17% how long does it have to stay above $2 for?
Any other requirements ARB does not meet today?

As Chris & Tyson say HL are brilliant, can set limit buy & sell orders at any price with any expiration from 1 day onwards.
I pay £5.95 per share trade and £0 for funds with cashback and discounts.
Commission "free" must be charged back somewhere and guess in the spread and 212 etc probably aggregate trades.

ARB is a perfect "pick & shovels play" - I've done this is dollars as that's what BTC gets regularly quoted in. Imagine you had $50K to invest and bought 1.5 BTC but over the years BTC averaged out at $33K (it's now ~$35K) how can you profit?
An efficient miner Argo Blockchain currently makes 70% net margin profit on every coin it mines.
That's $23K per coin and 100 coins per month is $2.3M PROFIT per month.
Meanwhile you've still got 1.5 Bitcoins worth $50K.
Better off with 35K ARB shares.
