Actually the 22nd Jan 'Vast Resources plc, the AIM-listed mining company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Brewster as the new General Manager of its Baita Plai Polymetallic Mine ("Baita Plai" or the "Mine") in Romania, where the Company is pleased to report that production and sales of concentrate continue in line with expectations.'
So was that a blatant lie (unchecked by the NOMAD) or, as is the case with many RNS, a selective use of language Expectations?? Whose expectations?? They didn't say guidance or production forecast, so you could argue they weren't lying, just being incredibly selective about how information is given to shareholders- so just plain misleading
RE: If copper prices are surging...17 Feb 2021 14:13
As VAST havent released details of the Mercuria offtake, nobody knows whether it is fixed price, or a %discount to spot or something else - anyone who posts as fact otherwise either has inside information or is lying (anything as opinion is fair enough, but that's what it is - speculation)
Although I understand the rationale for commercial confidentiality, I cant see any reason why VAST cannot say which one of the above, just omit the specifics - the lack of clarity breeds distrust
Antharry, (a rhetorical question) what are the four most posted letters on these bbs?? DYOR - Do your own research
Now if someone posts information about a company I'm interested in, then that's exactly what I try and do - but probably like others, the time and resource you dedicate to that is compromise with everything else your life entails. However, surely it makes far more sense that if someone posts information that suggests a contrary view of a situation, you dont just ignore it, you try and debunk it / challenge its interpretation with other links/analysis research???
A desire to close down debate on a bb is dangerous imo- by definition they can become echo chambers, reconfirming a particular positive points if view - rather than testing its veracity - if it passes muster then you should be more confident in your investment
RE: Decent amount of buying today10 Feb 2021 09:23
Sandy, we may have had some disagreements (and some agreement too) in the past, but I always paid your posts far more consideration than the majority of what's posted here. I hope that moving on wasnt too painful and good luck in the future.
Antharry, this, from PwC, is quite interesting re restructuring especially wrt small mining companies - csnt see a date though, but from context suggest it's at least a few months old
Saw you stuck a finger into ARS this week - can see it from a bounce POV and it is copper, but nervous about a cash raise after their deal fell through (which sounds like dodgy partners??)
Diamond market been suppressed under Covid but apparently showing signs of a bounce - think bluerock trying to ro the right thing to become a sustainable company but slightly nervous about some family office or other (from memory) BOD volume is piddly really, but it never does large numbers, so can move easily, as chunks seem tightly held by the Irish
Troajan - re Botswana diamonds Will be interesting to see if it's just the market being the market, or whether there is a rabbit away, as they are expecting results from a diamond blow they've drilled - recently raised cash (with warrants bah) so may be leaked hood news
Chris'They also elected to pay Atlas in shares which to me implied that they are in the process of sorting out the new finance deal. otherwise they would have paid using their abundance of cash.'
Well I bl00dy hope so, cos every time they elect to pay in shares, Atlas also receives the same amount in warrants
