the alternative is, gdr dont want ti pull a bad move get all the ducks lined up first etc..

@scart... I agree CE in a given bearing in mind the current circumstances, and all i can really think its for is does it meet power ac/dc requirements, is the plastic okay etc....

Looking at GDR's partners, I would expect them to be on the FDA case given their location, and if the fda are taking the same stance of relaxation and let field results speak for themselves then it cant be long before orders get announced certainly at trial stage then to main market providing all to plan..at stage one sea trials etc

I googled up what CE accreditation actual is.... basically confirmation from the manufacturer that it meets eu standards.

I reckon its the rolls royce of testing kits, id buy this for my family.... it looks quality.

Everything about gdr s product reads well, all bullet points, no waffle, from their website they say...

“It is likely that millions and millions of people will need to be tested, and high throughput central molecular testing will no doubt play a central role. Genedrive will deliver clinically verified, consistent and reproducible assays that are easy to use and can be manufactured and delivered globally in high volume.”

Hope they pull it off, saving lives and helping others worldwide esp as it can made globally.... so they could license it.... the more you make the cheaper it gets i guess...

Anyway...anything that looks great in my opinion normally is ......... roll on the ce mark....

Back in reality i dont think one million per day is any where near enough for the usa or the uk, maybe malta would be okay with that number.

I really dont think the general public at large have got the hang of this circular problem, test to find if you got it, self quarantine for 14 days if you have on the result and test and test some more, including all family members, then those you have been in contact with...until the all clear on your test.

Of course everyone has to test themselves...hence billions of test kits needed.

They will need billions of kits every year, everything depends on them, its strategic, its defence, its economic, its daily life.

It will be upto people to decide when to test themselves, the governments will just have to buy them from producers for the sake of their people, or nationalise and make them themselves.

@bigbite.... many people also assume testing only needs to be done once... it doesnt it needs it everyday imo, until an antibody is developed.

69m people in the uk, in one week we would get through close to 500m tests.

Otherwise how can anyone be confident they are clear.
