Drifter what Fortune did do was through brilliant deal making purchased TWO fully staffed vanadium production plants generating significant revenue, and Vametco in particular at a knock down price. Those acquisitions very quickly turned BMN into a major vanadium player.

To build those plants from scratch would have required £100’s of millions and taken years.

Your negative is on an astonishing scale. If you are genuine and not trying to talk the sp down to a new buy price then write a positive post about the company’s achievements and why you remain invested. No negatives. Just the positives.

Dav3j I very much resent the tone of your post. I dare say I am one of those who you so patronisingly describe as “ardent cheerleaders for the management”. But let me remind you that every negative comment you put in your post relates to the company’s communications and PR. Well take a close look at the first paragraph of my 22.21 post. And a few days ago I described the poor PR as unacceptable.

It’s ok. I’ll take your apology as a given.

Now let me throw something back at you. My support for the BoD and Fortune in particular is based upon some strategic brilliance and the fact that they are delivering on their key promise to build a low cost vertically integrated vanadium platform. I don’t know about you but as a long term shareholder that is why I remain invested in BMN and they are delivering it. There have been very few complaints on this bb about the operational performance of the company, and with good reason. It has been beyond the expectations of most of us, certainly over my 6 1/2 years as a share holder, and even during the two years you have been here. At the beginning of 2017 I did not expect 2 production plants and such bold moves to form partnerships in the energy storage industry.

So before you next Target other posters get your facts straight. You are welcome to express your frustration if you think it helps you (because it certainly doesn’t help the sp) but don’t misrepresent the views of people like myself.

I spent something like 2 1/2 years up to 60% underwater before the 2017 sp rise so I do understand your frustration, but I did not target the bb or the BoD more that as I believed the company would deliver on their promises. I still do!

I recently read that rebar demand in China is very strong. With China committing to infrastructure projects in order to stimulate the economy I can’t see that demand for rebar weakening. And that means demand for vanadium. And BMN supplies vanadium to China, as well as other markets where infrastructure projects are likely to feature strongly.

Like most here I think the PR from BMN could be a lot better. No argument there.

However in my early years of investing I lost money in a number of AIM shares where the PR was very clever and I was taken in. Unfortunately those companies had little to back it up and all short term share price rises were destroyed when the market realised that.

BMN is a very different beast. A solid company with revenue and profit. That is exactly what I want. Those of you not happy well there are plenty of AIM CEOs only to happy to draw you in with some slick PR. Good luck.

It is worth remembering that no AIM CEO can control the share price (in my opinion). They can control the growth of the business and that is exactly what Fortune is so good at. That is good enough for me. It is likely to provide long term share price growth. Funnily enough I said exactly the same thing in 2016 when the sp was less than 2p.

I am sure some will disagree but this is my opinion.

Many here agree that FM / MN are two very talented people. Fortune in particular has brought this company to this position, owning 2 of the 4 primary vanadium producers outside of China. With MN the company intends to drive BE forward in the energy storage space. We are very lucky t9 have these guys managing the BMN group.

Yet pi’s at the moment are filling this bb with negativity demonstrating a complete failure to trust our management and implicit in this strange attitude is that they feel that BMN need their advice on how to proceed.

You folks are crazy! Stop staring at the short term share price and focus on where the company is going. Inevitably Covid19 has forced some defensive action and changes to plans but that is exactly what a great management team should be doing. The company should survive this storm in good shape and ready to pursue its plans. Enjoy the ride.

Please try to show more support for what the BoD are doing.

Who knows what other leasing contracts may have been signed by Avalon or are being negotiated.

Lindon from the certainty with which you post I trust you are a professional analyst with intimate knowledge of this sector?

Because if you are not then you are just one more pi posting negative speculation. Thank you for yet more negativity.

For what it is worth I think your analysis is way too simplistic but as I am purely focussed on what the company is doing I will leave my criticism at that.

However I would remind everyone that there is much to be happy about in the RNS and conference call and it is gratifying to know that the company is being so well managed through this period of global turbulence.

Do not underestimate the pressure that infrastructure projects may put on the supply of vanadium for rebar. Governments around the world, led by China, are very likely to use infrastructure projects to kick start the economy.

Of course we all want BE to go well but the previous spike in vanadium prices was largely driven by steel demand. Don’t write this off.

Hopefully everyone is asking themselves now why has drifter been so negative yet now speaks of buying more ? Ah ....... get it?

Fortune’s salary was frozen for several years at a reasonable level for a CEO during the development phase of the company. I believe they were compensated later with a share package.

Even his present salary is way lower than many AIM CEOs. And he has earned every penny in my opinion.

Hamill23 perhaps you need to think a little bit more about the company’s efforts to reduce any unnecessary expenditure during the Covid19 crisis in order to ensure that cash is protected and the company emerges strongly the other side. If that means JSE listing among other things is delayed then so be it as that works in our long term interests. We should ALL be celebrating the fact that the BoD are being very prudent with the cash.

My concern about your posting and others like you is that no genuine long term shareholder could possibly be unhappy with the operational progress being made by the company.

Nor could they possibly be unhappy to see excellent numbers coming from Vanchem on its first full Q results under BMN control.

Nor could they possibly be unhappy to learn that Vametco has completed its annual maintenance during lockdown and moved to 50% production, and is now gearing up to return to full production.

Nor could they possibly be unhappy that products have been dispatched during lockdown to BMNs international markets.

Nor could they possibly be unhappy that BMN has been looking after the health and welfare of its employees and communities during lockdown. Etc etc

Yet you continually put up your negativity. No sensible investor would fail to focus on these positives yet you seem to have missed the lot. Forgive my scepticism but I smell a motive.

I like the title of that linkGambit:

And sales mean US$s.

I am sure this will not go unnoticed in SA Government circles, nor the fact that Fortune goes out of his way to support the Government in public, as he has done once again in the podcast.

Just listened to the podcast and I hope to have time later today or tomorrow to complete a transcript, which I will of course post here for all to benefit from.

My initial response to listening to that conference call is that in our CEO we have a very wise man that not only has the vision and determination to build and grow the company, but also knows exactly when and how to defend the business and protect the employees during a crisis such as Covid19. Whilst this has always been my opinion it is good to have it confirmed from time to time and that is exactly what this podcast has down.

Good to have confirmed that our relatively low bulk high value products have continued to be shipped without serious logistical problems.
