RE: My BMN shares show a loss over £100,0001 May 2020 19:01
MEM this is just a guess, and I do sympathise with your paper losses, but buyers will return when sentiment is positive.
Clearly the company are the main driving force in improving sentiment and I think it is fair to say that operational performance has been fantastic over the last few years. In early 2017 BMN was just another wannabe explorer. Now they are a leading player in the vanadium space. Thus we need them to continue developing the company, particularly through expanding production at Vametco and Vanchem, and developing Mokopane. And most importantly the market needs real progress with BE and I am absolutely certain that will come. The current Covid19 global crisis has of course presented a challenge for everyone but BMN look very well placed to weather the storm and emerge strong as ever and good to know that production is starting very soon.
Sentiment can also be impacted by RNS releases, interviews and other forms of communication with the market. I don’t think it would be particularly controversial to state that this is the one area where BMN’s performance could at best be described as variable, though others may say it is poor. I can only hope that Fortune and the team are realising that this is not good enough and urgent action is needed.
Finally, and some may not like what I am about to say, I firmly believe that all shareholders have a role to play in building sentiment. Thus venting one’s frustration on a public bb is in my opinion not the way forward. Some on here continually post negativity. Does anyone seriously think that helps to raise the share price? Of course not. I am not suggesting that anyone simply ramps the share just for the sake of being positive. However anyone holding shares in BMN must think this is a company worth investing in so everyone must have some positive thoughts about the company. Now that does not mean that issues can’t be discussed in a constructive way. That is what a bb is for. In another context for example if in your work place you felt that the company could do better you wouldn’t stand in the middle of the office and shout “the boss is a wa*ker”! You would seek a meeting to voice your concerns and find a way forward, but in private! In my opinion it’s no different here. Pure negativity just for its own sake and relieve your own frustration simply is not helpful. So in summary if we believe in this investment it is our responsibility to help get the message out.
As for your 5 year comment, sorry but I think that is nonsense. The company is making rapid progress but clearly more patience is required because of current circumstances.
