In my opinion there is a significant seller. Until that seller is finished there is no sensible market valuation of BMN because the seller is distorting the market and the sp.

Once they are done in my opinion there will be a rerate of the sp. and only then can we sensibly speculate on the valuation and how it is comprised. Your numbers (or anyone else’s) are meaningless at this time. Pure speculation.

I prefer to stick to facts such as the ones I quoted from the Final Results.

If you wish to make the case that BMN is not very much undervalued based solely on the present share price (and I am not sure that you are) well good luck to you. I couldn’t disagree more strongly with anyone trying to adopt that line. It would suggest to me that they simply don’t understand what is going on at BMN. Even a tiny bit of common sense applied would surely expose such nonsense.

My point is that the seller(s?) is so distorting the market that attributing value to individual parts of the business is pointless right now because that is not what is determining the sp.

Some might think this is a great opportunity to invest. I have been quietly taking advantage and in some ways I am grateful to the seller.

Mogwhy your valuation of Vanchem alone is ridiculous. The Final Results show this to be a bargain purchase with an asset value of just under $118 million and a gain on purchase price of around $60 million. A cracking deal I am sure you will agree.

The point is this is not a case of “add in your own numbers” to get a valuation (ie make it up as you go along). These are official numbers and it makes a nonsense of your valuation.

I am sure your Vametco valuation could be similarly pulled apart and shown to be way too low.

There is no question in my mind that BMN is massively undervalued and that the current sp has been affected by a seller (possibly Golden Summit for which I gather there is some evidence) and that sooner or later that seller will be done. I then expect a significant rerate.

Alfa thank you for posting that great video of the Vanadium V price and the share price jump once the overhang cleared in 2018. Perfectly timed to bring clarity to today’s debate.

Investors have many reasons for selling. It doesn’t matter what it is ... at some point they will finish and that video clip is a timely reminder of what may happen hear when this seller (s?) finishes.

Some might think this is a very good time to invest. If so I certainly wouldn’t argue against that as in my opinion BMN are very undervalued at present. Just research the business and the numbers and draw your own conclusions. Start with the recently published 2019 Final Results.

As I said before not a fan of conspiracy theories for the very good reason that most are imagined and turn out to be nonsense. We are inquisitive beasts always searching for answers. If we can’t find one we are excellent at inventing an explanation.

Not saying that the wonderful conspiracy theories I read here aren’t correct but in my experience the simple and obvious answer is often the right one. A large holder selling down would seem to fit.

Historically this has hit BMN sp several times in the past. Institutional investment has not always been a positive.

As always just my opinion but it is needed to counteract the more negative approaches adopted by some.

Whilst not ruling out shorting I think it is equally possible that a large holder like Golden Summit are selling down. Were they in at 10.1p ? There seems little appetite to take sp much below where it is now which protects a healthy profit for them. If this is the case then the good news is that they have a finite number of shares that they either want to or are able to sell. In other words there is an end ahead.

I am of course happy to be corrected but I am not a great fan of unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.

Fortune goes not have a salary if anything like that. From the 2019 Final Results:

“During the course of 2018 a benchmarking exercise was conducted in order to address a pay gap matter which resulted in a one-off retrospective compensation by way of shares being issued to employees, directors and advisors. Further to the approval by Shareholders of the Retrospective Compensation Scheme, the Compensation Shares were issued as follows:”

The bulk of the 2018 amount received by Fortune was a one off payment ... NOT salary!

Then from the same 2019 Final Results this figure from Section 35....Total salaries and fees for ALL Directors in 2019 was $1,772,702

That is for the entire BoD.... all Directors ... in total .... and in US$. Please tell me how Fortune has a salary of £2 m. Good grief what nonsense.

You must not confuse one off payments and bonuses with basic salary and fees, otherwise you mislead other investors. That is exactly what the result of your poor research did this morning.

The words he quoted from Ophidian’s posts were all taken from before the worst of Covid19.

Clearly Covid19 affected Ophidian’s thinking. You may agree or disagree with Ophidian’s subsequent strategy but there is absolutely no hypocrisy involved. Merely a change in investment action following a major global event.

Ophidian whilst I am disappointed that you are out the recent share price does rather suggest that you were correct. Hope you will reinvest in BMN soon. I do not need to remind you how well the company is handling the Covid19 situation and this ridiculously low share price does seem to offer a very good investment opportunity.
