Gambit am I correct in thinking that BMN have trebled their sales to China? This is good news as prices there (around $30 kgV) are 25% higher than ROW and therefore margins higher. Good that China now a net importer of Vanadium.

With respect to everyone here JSE listing has been referred to twice by the company yesterday that I am aware or. Once in an interview and once in RNS. They do not mention Eskom. They indicate it was delayed for Vanchem to complete (I guess because this might affect valuation etc) and then further delayed by Covd19. Just addressing the facts for everyone.

From article yesterday:
" Bushveld had delayed its listing on the JSE due to the need to conclude the $54m (R929.1m) purchase of the Vanchem assets and complete its full-year 2019 financial report coupled with the education of SA banks and financial institutions on vanadium, CEO Fortune Mojapelo said in an interview.
Bushveld would list within the next 12 months he said. “THERE’S A REAL POSSIBILITY THE LISTING WILL ROLL OVER INTO 2021, BUT WE ARE CERTAINLY TRYING TO DO IT IN THIS FINANCIAL YEAR”

bb I am as frustrated with the sp as everyone else, believe me. And more than most here I do not have time on my side.

If I thought there was an easy and artificial fix to the sp given Covid V price manipulation shorting then I would back it. But if there is a constant seller I am not sure how anything would work until they are done.

Even a buy back may not work and would use valuable cash.

Not against any ideas suggested but yet to see one that would bring sustained sp rise. That is best achieved by company performance and V price.

Company performance going forward is likely to be excellent and we know Fortune anticipates V supply demand deficit which should nudge V price up. Pus of course chasing more lucrative China market which we know they are doing.

Anyway what do I know. It's all just opinion.

But we do all want the same thing ... a fairer and higher share price.

Everyone is searching for an sp quick fix. Perhaps that is understandable but if there is a seller then quick fixes run the risk of failure.

Best let then get on with building a solid business. Long term seems the only solution to me.

Having said that then Director buys might cheer up some here,assuming they are allowed to buy. It's a complicated company. I wonder how often the Directors are clearly to purchase shares? I doubt if anyone here can do anything but guess on that.

I can't see fortune being happy with the sp at all!

However it is public knowledge that they are protecting cash. That limits their options.

Alfa in my opinion your 08.59 post nailed it. Everyone needs to read it to understand the sp action and trolling.

Perhaps he remembered Fortune saying that Vametco was just the beginning of the story and probably meant to write ‘the best is yet to come’. And the evidence most certainly points to a BMN future where the best us yet to come.

On the upside because ofthe trolls presence I decided to counter with positive posts about recent BMN activity (and that was easy because so much has been happening). Wouldn’t have posted otherwise.

Was this a strategy? Yes of course. We all know that their lying misleading and divisive posts would be gone by opening, leaving only a long list of positives on the forum that otherwise would not have been here.

Love it. So this morning all those posts outlining progress b the company are only here because of the trolls.

Interesting that the number of shares was approx 1,119 million at end of 2018. Today the figure is approx 1,153 million. An increase of only 3%. How is this relevant?

Well during 2019 BMN acquired Vanchem. The CEO stated that he hoped to complete this deal with minimal dilution. He delivered on this.

So when he states that he hoped to complete the expansion plans “without calling on its shareholders to fund its plans” we should take this statement seriously, based upon his delivery of Vanchem.

Vanchem of course comes with other benefits not least of which is the presence of three kilns, offering opportunities for expansion and diversification of products, in line with the company’s plans to expand to over 8,000 mtV pa over the coming years between Vametco and Vanchem.

It was therefore pleasing to read today the following from an online article:

“Bushveld Minerals, SA’s largest supplier of vanadium, hopes to complete a R1.73bn expansion programme to nearly triple output without calling on its shareholders to fund its plans.”

Good news for investors.

Great thing is they indicated they were targeting a second brown field site and they delivered it. And in style.

Consequently in Q1 we see Vanchem contributing 30% of BMN’s attributable vanadium production in its first full reported Q.

Still can’t get over just what a good deal BMN did to acquire Vanchem.

I remember at the time of the Vametco acquisition that deal being described by one professional analyst as one of the best they had seen. Negotiated for a knock down price and then paid for within a few months from revenue.

And now Vanchem. Securing this brownfield plant instead of facing the delays and costs of building on a greenfield site at Mokopane saved the construction costs that I believe were estimated at over $200 million. So we get a fully functioning plant for $55 million. Brilliant.

But now it gets even better! Independent valuation has valued the plant at $118 million. Haha. Fantastic deal.

So we move from being a junior mining explorer at start of 2017 to just three years later owning and operating two if the four primary vanadium plants. And profitable!

In my opinion the CEO Fortune Mojapelo is a genius.

Gambit it would seem then that UET is not a bad partner to have in the VRFB trial at Eskom!

In the same interview they stated the following:

“So we have to appreciate that it's not the most straightforward story and it's one which I think the market will only fully appreciate as we deliver very granular initiatives such as the electrolyte plant and we start to produce electrolyte, we deliver the electrolyte rental contracts and the market can see how that works and how it translates into value. As we deliver deployments of VRFBs and as we demonstrate what sort of partnerships we are going to do with VRFB manufacturers. So I can understand why the story is not yet fully understood or appreciated but I think it's only a matter of time."

Some of these developments are now underway.

Remember what BMN said about the potential Energy Storage market in August:

“The energy storage market is potentially 5 to 10 times bigger than the commodity market just selling V into the market. So for us it's almost a no brainer and it gives us a very good hedge in terms of the vanadium price. When V prices come off while the mining and processing prices may come down the attractiveness of our energy storage solutions goes up. The best of both worlds."
