I see some are wanting to spread a bit of negativity. Just for balance ….

I doubt if any genuine shareholder is content with the current share price. I am equally sure that no Director is happy with the share price either. Perhaps we can all agree on that.

For those that cannot see beyond the share price I suggest you don’t waste any more of your time reading the rest of my post. This is for those that are interested in the whole picture.

So … when anyone chooses to invest in a mining / processing company what do you hope the company will do?

Do you want the company to:
a) mine ore from the ground as per their target that is in the public domain?
b) control production costs to increase margins?
c) plan expansion and diversification of product?
d) fund those plans?
e) ensure that there is a proper market for those products?
f) look after the safety and well-being of its workforce?

I would suggest that over the course of 2021 that BMN have delivered on all of those questions.

The elephant in the room is course Bushveld Energy. It is very clear that we do not know all that is happening with the energy storage business but do not make the mistake of assuming nothing is going on. There are many possible reasons why we are not being kept up to date, NDAs being just one.

The latest Covid mutation I am sure is not helping to calm the market but BMN have successfully navigated their way through previous waves and I see no reason to think they will be any less successful this time around.

I am very happy with the progress the company has made this year. They have done what I expected of them. I look forward to BE updates that I hope will excite the market.

In the meantime I watch with interest the number of new VRFB projects being announced around the world with the likely upward pressure on V demand, the introduction of Covid recovery programmes in various countries which will hopefully push up V demand for rebar, and a general upward trend in the V price.

At BMN 2022 should see the opening of a second kiln at Vanchem significantly increasing production at that plant from around 1000 mtV to 2600 mtV pa. That will also significantly cut production costs at Vanchem to similar numbers at Vametco. Hopefully the electrolyte plant will also begin production.

There may be some that believe that today’s VERY low share price offers a great entry price for new investors, given what we all hope lies in store for BMN in the next 18 months. I would find it hard to disagree.

As always just my opinion.

Vanadium prices rise in China in most categories and V2O5 up in Europe also.

LIION with all due respect I have frequently said that communication with the market was not great. I will accept valid criticism willingly but not in accurate statements like yours thank you very much.

As for entry price I very clearly labelled that ‘in my opinion’. I am allowed an opinion?

ggggareth it is true that one trade today was completed below 9.00p That trade was for 70,000 shares at a price of 8.96p. The official bid at the time was 9.00p so that seller got ripped off!

Given that there were 113 trades today and not one of them completed where the official Bid was less than 9.00p don’t you think stating that the “8’s have arrived’ might be jumping the gun a bit?

Lucan apologies for failing to respond to your post but only aware of it when I read this evening’s comments.

I am doing well. However my focus at present is on my cancer treatment. Last week I had a very important CT scan as part of the progress monitoring of the SIRT procedure, along with other communications with both Salisbury and Southampton hospitals.

Feedback from that scan will be next Thursday. This will indicate the degree of success of the treatment and equally importantly if tumours have developed elsewhere. I hope everyone will understand why this has my attention at present!

Last week’s blood test indicates that the liver and kidneys are functioning normally and the CA199 cancer marker, although still high, is on a significant downward trajectory. Thus all positive on that front.

Whilst I cannot take anything for granted the SIRT team tell me that I I have been remarkably resilient to the side effects of the radiation treatment. I remain positive but let’s see what the scan shows.

Sorry for the O/T but I am aware from the kind support I have received from many contributors to this bb that there is some interest in my progress. I have always been very grateful for this and remain so.

I would like to add that although the bb has not been very active in recent weeks there have been some excellent contributions and I am pleased that despite the sp the general sentiment has been positive. My support for BMN remains as strong as ever and with the mining and processing side of the business now looking strong I look forward to news from Bushveld Energy.

Duferco (Bruno Bolfo) TR1 history following the first year share issue.

It would appear that Duferco can be a little tardy in notifying BMN of thresholds crossed.

If they do sell, and I think some excellent points have been made questioning whether they will short term, we may not learn of thresholds crossed immediately. Having said that today’s TR1 was released promptly.

Worth remembering that the issue price was 9.97p. Price to sell at close today was 9.85p. Any sold now would be a small loss (plus of course broker fees)

Cindercone I agreed with you that they may sell (though I suspect they would want 10p at least). However with the Share price so low, the mining and production business back on track and expansion plans progressing, and according to analysts upward pressure on the V price over the next 12 months or so I think it is possible they may decide that this investment has some legs.

Time will tell but I doubt anyone posting here knows what Duferco intend to do.

That assumes Duferco are going to sell. They might but perhaps they see a more profitable future here. Time will tell.

V price is going to be under significant upward pressure over the coming months in my opinion. That would greatly help margins.

So with everything else going on at BMN the next 12 months or so could be quite interesting.

Using published numbers from the five full months since Vametco reopened after the upgrade in Q1 it is possible to work out the BMN Group average monthly production for May to September and it reads very well:

That is a HUGE improvement. An annual rate of 4296 mtV … that is what they have achieved over the last 5 months!!!

Will they sustain this? Well Vanchem has already done so. Very consistent over last 5 Qs and Vametco is also now very consistent. Therefore the answer is that they very likely will sustain this rate. That is very positive news and even Fortune Mojapelo’s critics should be wise and generous enough to recognise this and offer their appreciation.

We will just have to agree to disagree then. No problem with that.

However action not words as they say so I have had two small top ups at 9.92p and 9.9p. Why now when the sp was falling? Good question. Clearly I have no idea what the future share price will be, which is why I never give specific share price predictions, but those prices are lower than the issue price to Duferco …. see my line if reasoning?

In my opinion a buying opportunity. Just wish I could afford more.

Er … at Vametco since shutdown and extensive maintenance programme output has not only been consistent but EXCEEDED target every month.

Output at Vanchem has been very consistent since coming into BMN ownership.

How much profit was made from the decision to invest in Invinity and the subsequent sale of those shares?

The decision to invest in opening a second kiln at Vanchem will result in an extra 1600 mtV and a cost reduction.

Not everything has gone well for BMN (and much of that has been beyond their control) but be fair … they are focussed on building this business and have made some excellent decisions. Forget 3 to 5 years. 2022 looks exciting, particularly if Bushveld Energy begins to deliver.

Just my opinion.

Closing sell price at 9.82p was about 1.5% lower than the Duferco share issue price. Any sales by them at this level loses them 1.5% plus broker costs.

Not much of an incentive for them to sell?

Beginerman I am happy for you to personally abuse me all day long if you wish. It is the behaviour of someone who can’t face up to the fact that you mislead the bb on a number of counts and should apologise.

You didn’t know when the company listed and you falsely claimed that the share price had stagnated since listing yet the graph reveals a very different story.
