it's important to realise when they continually show the same images on TV or the headlines are basically clickbait that my not represent the country as a whole - not to say things are good in SL but there is a flair for the dramatic in these countries at times.
But as you say would be good to have MF answer some direct questions on the matter - he has been asked but then seems to answer in a very vague pooh-pooh matter - doesn't help us.
Why is TMS taking so long? But then again this crowd did promise a follow up in Feb to explain the placing and basically we've heard nothing from them since - so not exactly reliable I'd say.

TMS interview not sure why they are delaying this (I suppose not much of a delay right now) unless they have nothing new to say - but I think we'd all welcome a bit more transparency on the IML process and where we are.

I know you all know this is pet peeve of mine. But honestly given there isn't really that much social media presence from CMET you would think the comms dept would maximise what we have, i.e. twitter.

I notice they retweeted the interview with Proactive, but they have not retweeted the ********** interview with Zak Mir or the fact that WHIreland have issued an updated research note on May 12th, despite the fact that they have a link to it on their website.

Thanks Robemy - I hadn't seen that. It would be extremely quick so fingers crossed. To be clear I'm not negative but I am aware that things in this sector generally take a lot longer than are indicated.

But I can't get access to it, even through the CMET website, Maybe it'll become available later as all the previous notes were accessible. If they are saying fair value at 31p now, then that has decreased as it was at 33p.

a couple of things here:
1. '...drilling results due in June.' I've not heard ANY insider state this - if I am incorrect please tell me as this is very useful information. From what I've read on here it's only posters on here (with obvious motive and bias) that keep spouting this.

2. '...current 500,000oz confirmed which is big enough in itself.' Let's be clear and in no uncertain terms this is DEFINITELY NOT big enough for Demir to justify a mine. They will be aiming for a minimum 10yr life of mine with min 500k production per annum per project. This is rule of thumb what all majors look for these days.

It's important to listen to everything PROF C has said and you only need to return to the Sunday Roast to hear it. This drilling programme is only the start of a very large programme of 10s of thousands of meters to be drilled. It is only over the course of the entire drilling programme that the JV will establish the potential of the resource.

I mean take heart that a major has JV'd and therefore sees the 'POTENTIAL' but it'll be a while before they establish the reality. 3,500 meters is not a huge drill programme, though it's larger than CGNR usually conduct but there are other small caps conducting/ed much larger programmes (CORA, AEXG etc.) but this is only the first of many many many drill programs with Demir.

Patience. Not June, probably not even 2022.

I'm wondering if we can expect an update from WHIRELAND given the DFS or whether they'll wait until IML/OFFTAKE. According to their last analysis these events significantly derisk the project.

MF briefly discuss on a TMS podcast I cannot remember which one but he basically said this was part of the iml process and a lot of the land they needed to access was government-owned so they didn't see that at the problem and the gsmb will help them negotiate with the remaining parts which were privately owned
Short answer it was discussed and doesn't appear to be a major issue

Been thinking about MFs comments on ********** podcast yesterday regarding the likelihood of either Chinese or Indian offtakers.

I think I'd be more comfortable with India. They've been far more supportive of SL as it goes through this difficult time, with China shrinking away from support despite the fact that it has plunged SL into this debt crisis.

The other thing that worries is the possibility of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, the probability of which is edging upwards, albeit from a low base. If that happens you can see a raft of sanctions similar to those imposed on Russia in which case CMET maybe forced to suspend any offtake agreement - made even more complex if there are financing agreements attached.

I'm wondering what will be the new news from the TMS interview? Unless he gives more specifics on the IML (which I know we're all eager to hear) the TMS crowd maybe be just too late, at this point.

Bodes well for a very healthy MCAP in the future, especially as it's clear MF doesn't currently intend to dilute Share Capital.

I would hope TMS podcast not too far away - keep the PR momentum going. I mean MF is pretty good at these interviews so it would be good to see him doing it more regularly.

LW MF on the record saying that the potential offtakers want to sign now - indicates they don't mind IML not currently signed off - they can always sign 'subject to..'
