Its not just the charging profits, how much does each customer spend on average in the shop on food and drink I wonder.
Profit at the pump is relatively small (even for fossil fuels) but the mark up on food and drink is generally quite high.

Just read it myself, can't say i'm surprised, development costs a great deal with little other source of funding.
There should be a drop in the SP this week in response to the dilution.
I will think on it and may add more to average down.
In essence little has changed, each has to decide if the reason they invested is still relevant.

The upcomming dividend was I believe declared on Wednesday 2nd March as a final dividend.
I don't believe final dividends may be cancelled, unlike interims, they can only be deferred to a later date.

Copper commodity price.

To be honest I'm just sorry you seem to have taken issue by my post, it wasn't intended.
Any stock prediction will contain assumptions, estimates and the views of the person making them. There is however a bog difference to just pulling a number out of the air (or arse), and making a prediction/estimate based on the information available at that time.
Its a pretty moot point in any case as I don't think there will be a split. It would be a hail Mary act by POLY to preserve investor interest in response to the unlikely worst case scenario.

Ok I'll bite.
Kyzyl was aquired by POLY in 2014 for £618.5m, I make the assumption that POLY saw value at the price for the asset. * years on lets add some infaltionary value $60m. Kyzyl was (pre war) the main source of medium-term growth and significant shareholder returns. Kyzyl has a capacity to produce about 150 kt of gold per mounth. The gold price at the moment is around £1,474.26 per ounce. The Bakyrchik mine at Kyzyl is open-pit mining with a projected lifespan around 15 years and potentially another 20 years underground mining. Assumption have to be made on the sustaiability of the current yeild and the average price of gold throughout its lifespan.
Varvara consists of a gold and copper mine with a modern processing plant which can also process 3rd party ore. POLY aquired Varvara in 2009 and the associated open-pit gold mine Komarovskoye in 2016 for around $100m. Komarovskoye is estimated to hold 22.3m ounces of gold of which 2m ounces is confirmed. in addition it is estimated to contain 195.7m ounces of silver and 149.4 kt of copper. Silver is currently around £602 per kilo, and copper is around £2.15 per kilo. I estimate copper to rise significantly in response to demand over the next 10 years.
There is more, and the same can be done for the Russia based assets. By its nature there must be assumptions and estimates, but they are educated assumptions taken from information available.

I never said it was accurate in fact with a 25% variability I would suggest its anything but.
I have at least looked at the information available and made some educated assumptions.
I am only too aware that there are very few posters on this bb who have conducted any real research.
But there are a few, and for their views its worth hanging around.

Well from the posts it appears I'm one of the few that have at least tried to value the assets based on, productivity, revenue, costs, forecast lifespan of assets, debt allocation, etc.
It just shows what a optimist I really am expecting some sort of sensible response.

Ok, so if we are just pulling numbers out of our arses, I value the Kazakhstan assets in isolation at £4 plus/minus 50p.

Not sure how you reach such an accurate price for the Kazakhstan assets in isolation, its difficult to proportion debt for a start. While I 'think' the current SP is covered by those two assets, I haven't been able to work it out with any certainty.

I believe we will see somewhere above £5 sustained at some point this year, and would agree that £10 is very possible.
I am reasonably certain of one thing, sanctions will be removed as soon as possible, while I undserstand they will be effective they also carry a large element of self harm.
