Nowhere near when done properly though was it ;o)
Looks are subjective. For it's intended clientele Aston got is absolutely spot on I think.
Looking forward to some proper order numbers at some point, SP will love that!
It's the total opposite of what most of us are doing;
We buy a share, gamble on SP rising, when we think it won't rise any more (whether in profit or loss) we sell it, which puts downwards pressure on SP.
Shorters borrow a share (or rather buy a contract on a share) gamble on SP dropping, when they think it won't drop any more they buy shares to be able to give them back to who they borrowed from - which has a positive pressure on SP.
Just from sight you can see the support/volume is pretty much at closing SP level...... SP has refused to go below 165 for 3 days.
My most out there scenario..... is Stroll selling Racing Point to Mazepin, and buying out Mercedes F1 together with Wolff - with increased shareholding of AML for Daimler as part of the deal. Which would mean leveraging the current Mercedes F1 team branded as Aston Martin instead - and inheriting Hamilton too.
That actually isn't that crazy a possibility ;o)
Indeed... is it why MercedesF1 are delaying signing up for the 2022 season!?
I've been banging on about similar for a few months aye.... there is for sure SOMETHING going on!
We probably can't actually fathom what exactly.
But there is too much going on with Mercedes F1, Racing Point, Wolff, Andy Cowell.... throw into account bargain chips of increased shareholding for Daimler in AML, Daimler wanting Vettel with their engine, and Mazepin perhaps looking too buy a team for his F2 driver son. Almost anything is possible in that mix!
It is well rumoured that Daimler may have had enough of F1- they've achieved far more than they could ever have dreamt possible - and there becomes a point where the bean counters look at the ROI and see it declining. All marketing incentives (after all, that's what F1 is) have a planned shelf life. Being able to sell the team on at a huge profit is a massive bonus - especially considering the financial landscape for Daimler right now.
Mercedes High Performance Powertrains is a separate, and profitable company though. Mercedes would still get huge exposure from F1 just supplying engines. And indeed, the long term lucrative deals they have with several teams, including McLaren now, they wouldn't just walk away from. Aston Martin making it a true works F1 team is a big leap from what is actually planned to start with.... becoming an F1 engine manufacturer, no matter who is involved in the development, is a massive, massive ask.
Personally I believe that Cowell will pop up developing engines for AML road cars - possibly with an AMG link yup. Because as the tightening emissions regs are introduced shortly - Daimler will struggle to be able to create a V8 power unit within those regs. Aston Martin are outside many of these regs due to much lower volume....
Jesus... if you're going to actually look for this data, at least learn about what you're reading.
That's not a buy. It is the end of day closing auction, as identified by the 'UT' next to it - Uncrossing Trade. £235k is the total value.
I have no idea then @Jollifant, because when I was buying an hour ago I couldn't get a quote for £10k or £5k with 10 minutes of trying. £3k went straight through 3 times though.
TLSA pre market has finally come back up to 0.00 too....
Just topped up at 175.... couldn't get a quote for more than £3k at a go though.
Lets dooo this!
I suspect the Mercedes F1 statements and delays are just positioning for a better deal..... but there is the chance that there is something much more fundamental going on in the background that they're working on!!
I would say... when you can't see any renewed positivity on the horizon.
Which with AML is not in the foreseeable IMO. So many likely/potential positive news impacts over the next 6 months - and for sure a lot we can't even fathom from where we are right now.
Biggest one for me is any increase in Daimlers involvement. Any inkling of deeper ties or increased shareholding, which could come at literally any time - and this SP will rocket.
Bentayga is fugly indeed. Drives ok mind. A very specific clientele.
Urus is stunning in every way, even tho it's clearly a polished Audi.
RSQ8 is same as Urus underneath but styled like a shoebox. Half the price of the Urus but won't hold its price the same making that pretty academic.
Cayenne and Rang Rover obviously the largest volumes in this sector, and where most DBX sales will need to come from.... and I think Aston will make a big impact there quickly!
