I'm a new poster here and have watched with interest the posts by Khaled78 and all your responses to them, and just wondered how long it would take for him to crawl out from under his rock once the price dipped below 10p!
Maybe he was right all along? To be fair, I think he was always going to be right sooner or later.
Maybe if you all ignore him he will go away, he's nothing without an audience.

Looks like the overall market slide is dragging LDG with it today, maybe an opportunity to top-up might be approaching?

I agree zoolook, the haulage business no longer of interest to LDG despite having 'logistics' in the name. From what I recall, way before Stobart became LDG, everyone was saying what a low margin and competitive business haulage was, so unlikely that LDG would invest in it directly IMO.
Maybe investment into Distribution Centres i.e. property, a better prospect? just a thought.....

I made a reference to Stobart as that whole operation seemed to be a shambles, but no longer relevant to the current LDG 'business' - if you can call a pot of cash a business - because, as I recall, DBay made a significant investment and I would suggest not without some big risks, to save it and turn it around thus saving the majority of the worker's jobs, before selling it off at a premium to enable the formation of LDG and what we have today - a big pot of cash equating to approx. 19p per share that at some point will be re-invested or whatever and we will all be happy investors, fingers crossed.
If anybody did a disservice to the Stobart employees I would think it was the various Stobart Group Director's or BOD's that made such a mess of it in the first place.
Best forgotten now, let's move forward with LDG and trust DBay to steer it in the right direction for us.
After all, what else can we do?

Sadly of course, you may well be right - it's certainly been a long and bumpy road since the Stobart days and I see from today's RNS that a lot of the same old names are big shareholders, but hopefully DBay will help steer a decent course through all of this and do the right thing by PI's like us.

Only time will tell but I will keep my oven gloves handy just in case!

Well that didn't take long to dip back below 14p, how long before we're back where we started?

Incredible how the SP ebbs and flows, hopefully we'll see a more sustained rise once the buyback begins and DBay subsequently get investing the cash properly.

Fingers crossed, hopefully they don't get too burnt along the way!

Some news at last! Any news better than nothing.

I think the £0.01 refers the 'ordinary share value' not the price they intend to pay; surely when the time comes they will have to pay nearer current market value, maybe as much as the NAV?

As I said before, I'm definitely no expert here, but that would seem logical I think.

I just wish DBay/LDG would give some indication of what they intend to do with the millions they have sat in the bank. I may only be a small investor here and probably a bit impatient but so frustrating seeing the SP bobble around 13p when we all know it could be worth so much more.

Thanks yrabsmurruc, now that does make sense and I see exactly what you are saying. No wonder they will have to raise money next year if that is the case.
As I have said on other posts this is all new to me so sometimes I struggle to understand what's going on but hey, still giving it a go and hoping to make some money along the way.

This morning's Trading Update seems to me to be a reasonable and fairly positive statement; they are on track to achieve over £25m forecast - good news - representing modest growth - good news - and the year-end cash balance is expected to be approx. £2.2m - more good news.

It explains what we already knew about the cut in Marketing spend and it's supply chain issues, all of which have been well reported.

Notwithstanding the current Covid problems and supply issues they are looking to invest more money and have appointed a new MD with plenty of experience in order to address these concerns and help grow the company further.

And yet the SP has dropped by more than 16%.

Am I missing something?

I'm new to this investing lark, a real novice make no mistake. I bought into this shambles at the beginning on November and it owes me a fraction over a penny per share. And no, I didn't risk my pension on it, thank goodness!

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the heck this RNS means for my investment as I just can't understand much of the terminology being used?! And before anyone says it, I know, if I don't understand then I shouldn't be investing here - or anywhere - but hey, just trying to make a few quid and still a safer bet than buying lottery tickets. I hope.

I have read many of the posts on here and still none the wiser, but sounds like we are all being conned by this Harry bloke!

A simple summary in layman's terms please. Anybody?

Am I right in thinking that either scenario should be a good outcome for investors? I keep reading how DBay have a good record at this sort of thing, so if that is the case why isn't everyone piling their £'s into LDG at the seemingly bargain price of 13p or so? After all they have no assets, so nothing that can depreciate (or rise), and the Company value is all in the cash it holds, so presumably very low risk from an investment point of view? Exactly what Bergcarls said a few posts ago.

Look forward to whatever happens next, will be interesting to see what they decide to do, and hopefully we will all be very happy investors.

Thank you all, looks like we are all thinking and saying the same thing. Looks like todays market falls have dragged the SP on this down too so I will watch with interest and may top up if I think it has dipped enough - I don't have much to spare but happy to add a little.

Re. Truthfactory - I wasn't wanting him to say anything in particular or looking for any sort of approval or affirmation, just thought it would be interesting to hear what he had to say. I don't believe he is even invested here anymore so that was probably why he stopped posting?

As I said before I'm a real novice at this game but I always found Truthfactory's posts to be based on some sort of reality unlike some I've read! And yet he was always being accused of ramping/de-ramping/optimistic/pessimistic/ paranoia etc. no wonder he stopped posting on LDG!! Always sounded like he knew what he was talking about to me.

SP has help up well today and looks to have closed just short of 14p despite my own pessimism about the SP just a couple of weeks ago - maybe people staying more interested in this than I thought?

So..... another week on, still no news, SP still holding up or even improving marginally, although has been as low as 13.04p today. I almost feel embarrassed that I suggested it would drop below 13p within a week, even more so that Maj101 agreed with me - sorry Maj, looks like we were both wrong, for now at least.
Whatever happened to Truthfactory, was posting all the time about LDG/Eddie Stobart but nothing for ages now? I thought his opinion was always good value and seemed to have a good idea what was going on. Where are you TF, we could do with your insight into the current situation.

Re. who's selling at this price, I guess anyone who is fed up waiting for LDG/DBay to decide what they are going to do with all that cash and let the markets know, cashing in while they can at a reasonable return!

So, some news at least, and good news at that.

LDG are now sat on £134.5M debt free, valuing the shares at 19.12p, and that has managed to drag the SP back up to a mere 13.50p or so? Give it a week and everyone will lose interest (again) and it will drop back under 13p IMO.

And yet still no clue as to what they are going to do with all that money:

More holding and watching I guess?

I'm not sure how it works but presumably they could get away with a lower figure, say 14p/15p/16p, and give themselves an even bigger payday?
I see some big volumes bought this morning around the 12.42/12.45p mark, interesting.
I will hold and wait for now, see what happens, just wish LDG would give us a clue. Any clue.

I'm a bit new to this investing lark but seems odd to me that LDG/DBay are sat on £130M and doing nothing with it, and all the time the SP is slipping back. It's almost as if they are waiting for everyone to lose interest and the SP to dwindle away then - as previously suggested - they kindly offer to buy back all the shares at a vast discount to them and pocket the difference, thanks very much! The shareholders, well most of them, would be happy to get a small profit or at least most of their money back, but not as happy as LDG/DBay who could pocket 10's of millions.
Alarming how quickly I have become so cynical, maybe I've been reading too many posts on here?!!
