No, what I meant was if anyone posted 19p on here then someone else would say they were ramping; aren't Liberum effectively doing the same thing but in their official capacity as NOMAD/joint broker?

I'll take a look at that to get an idea of what you are saying. Just seen all the posts on here, I can't believe how much time all of you spend on researching and posting, it's impressive to say the least. Sadly I'm struggling to understand a lot that is posted but doing my best, also limited on time as working 8-5 and having to sneak looks and posts when I can, sure my IT dept will have something to say about my usage soon!!

I wouldn't know where to start, all I seem to be doing so far is lose money, on paper at least. Still, my decision good or bad, just have to accept if it doesn't work out for me.

Some seemingly good trades going through this afternoon, good to see the SP holding its own in the face of everything that's going on.
Pretty much my only holding that isn't showing a paper loss today, like money in the bank - I guess because LDG is literally that until they invest in an actual business or whatever?

Who knows?! Nobody really. I watch with incredulity the way you all seem to throw figures around and then have a go at each other if you don't agree, it's hilarious.
I would think it almost impossible to back up any claimed price with facts as we know what we know and until we actually know something new then nothing much will change, except the SP will fluctuate based on the MM's and dealing.
I don't know if the price will go down or go back up, what I do know is that I won't panic but watch patiently and hope it turns out alright in the end.
IMO, obvs.
ps. who IS Ian????

RNS says that Spreadex have increased their %age of Voting Rights through financial instruments (?), not related to shares.
Can anyone tell me what that means exactly, and why this would have sparked more trading?

mfdoom - I think I'm right in saying these weren't 'buys' as such, these were the placements announced back in December of shares at value .08p given in lieu of salary and fees owed, and I think that's what cause the SP to drop to around that level.
One of the reasons I dumped in early January but now - possibly against my better judgement - have bought back in.

Dontgiveup123 - from what I have seen I think that's how it works; they would issue more shares at a discount to whatever the SP is at the time to tempt in large investors in the hope that the fundraise would give them the cash to complete the exploration stage and get this to production, at which point the SP would rise and give us all a decent reward.
Would anyone else like to confirm my thinking please?

I agree, your post resonates with me - gut feeling relative to the information available, and whether the data being provided can be trusted, together with anything the CEO says.
I for one like what DM says, sure sometimes he fills a bit and clearly has his own issue in interviews, but overall I think he is being as honest as he can be and making all the right noises.
Let's all hope that 2022 is the BIG year for HE1 that he at least thinks it will be.

Hi Dai, having enough trouble protecting my investments from CGT without becoming a geology expert too :-) it's a minefield! Actually in that part of the world......!!

Seriously though, I have read many of your posts on here and you have provided a lot of data etc.
I have read most of the stuff available on HE1's site - analysts reports and the like - but struggled with a fair bit of it.
Can you recommend any specific data or documents that might help me to better understand the subject please?

I forgot to add, if not already declared then you can back-date any losses up to 4 years to help offset any gains that might incur CGT if not held in an ISA.

Hi all, wow, I seem to have started something again.....
Good thing though as it just made me re-check my previous research on CGT etc.
CGT is only payable when shares are sold, and then only on the profit if above the CGT allowance £12,300. Unless in an ISA when there is no CGT payable. Good news.
The annual dividend allowance is currently £2000 although the rate of tax applied above this is increasing from 6.25% to 7.5% from April 22 for a basic rate taxpayer.
However, again you do not pay tax on dividends from shares held in an ISA. Good news.

You're probably right re. bank shares, I think I just got fed up looking at them and needed some excitement from the little trading I am doing!

I have a really good feeling about HE1, with any luck (and hard work from the HE1 team) this will really pay off for us all; we only need to be in the right place at the right time once and I'm hoping this is it.

Alas I'm no tax expert (if only!) but as I didn't already have a Stocks & Shares ISA (no, I really didn't) I thought best to open one this tax year as it seemed sensible, but also just in case the HE1 SP goes stratospheric and I wanted to 'cash out' thought it really wise to avoid any CGT at all. I already considered the CGT allowance and realised that with a 100.000 holding that could possibly cause me a CGT issue quite easily if things go well with this years drilling etc.
I considered it was better to be prepared for the sake of a few expenses than risk not having it covered off.

Hi Dai. I had to look that up! Told you I was a novice.
No, what happened was..... I dumped some banking shares I'd held for years with little or no reward at all, and used the money to increase my HE1 holding to 100,000 shares, but in doing so I realised I had created my own problem because I did all of this outside an ISA, and the potentially (hopefully) huge gain on HE1 would then create an equally huge CGT problem.
So then I opened an ISA using some savings, purchased another 100,000 HE1 shares within my ISA and now need to offload my original holding to cover the (small) loss created by the buy/sell spread, dealing fees and some other small losses I incurred dumping some other crap stock.
I have probably done this all wrong but it made sense to me and seemed like a good idea at the time!
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Interesting reading this morning, now beginning to think I shouldn't have bought another 100,000 last Thursday @ 10.992p!
Bad timing or bad luck, I guess I pay my money and take my chances.
Seriously though, I really hope they don't dip too far and recover to 12p or more soon as I have another 100,000 I want to unload to cover some trading costs and losses #still learning.
