Congrats fellow Valirians, moving along nicely but relax if there is a small retrace at some point. Every small cap will have short-term traders who will sell their granny for a 10% profit. Some who joined the party at our recent lows can already make considerably more than that. No matter. Any SP rise at the moment is simply a bonus. When the news start flowing as LT holders are expecting, strap yerself in!

Welcome to the forum. Yes, in essence we are. I'm a happy chappy who has had a few jars tonight but you get the gist of my post. There has been no speeding ticket issued by Val tonight so they are basically acknowledging the SP rise but are not saying it is unjustified. To my mind that is almost as good as an RNS to confirm a deal.

Porky believes there must be an RNS in the morning. Why, I'm not sure. He's a bit of an strange bloke as you will gather if you care to read his 5000 posts over the past 3 years. He made a considerable profit on Val a couple of years ago, sold out and invested it all in a company which subsequently went bust. He has been bitter towards Val ever since, Why?....not a clue!

Anyway, with any luck your Val shares will be worth considerably more in a few weeks than they are at present. As regards a future placement, Porky could well be right. I wouldn.t be surprised to see Suzy raise at a premium when the SP reaches 15p-16p in order to boost the coffers and also maybe snap up another bargain like Imagen.

I would be very surprised if there is any RNS in the morning. No rush. From your point of view, what you needed was a speeding ticket tonight from Valirx to say they knew of reason for the share rise today. That didn’t happen which in itself is probably worth as much as confirming a deal. Nothing will be confirmed until all the I’s are dotted and T’s crossed. It might even be a couple of weeks. Handy as it will allow investors to accumulate before the action REALLY starts.

You could well be right regarding a placement. At 15p-16p I wouldn’t be surprised to see Suzy raise at a premium in order to another couple of gems like Imagen and supplement the coffers. Sleep well!

Porky, normally I don’t like to kick a man when he’s down but in your case I’ll gladly make an exception.

It was your choice to take your gains from Val and put them into 4D. Bad enough, but you then chased it all the way to the bottom, topping up as it fell. Your decision and yours alone. In one of your (many) previous posts you warned against letting sentiment affect your judgement. This is exactly what you did when you fell in love with 4D. To then exacerbate the issue you blamed Valirx for your own stupidity and refused to believe it could succeed, in fact doing your utmost (clearly unsuccessfully) to try and ensure it didn’t.

I have no intention of gloating as I’m sure you feel sick as a pig. Maybe next time you will listen to your own advice (or better still, stick to being a postman, as shares aren't your forte). Good luck!

Nice to see such a wide spread. Definitely a deterrent to day traders and short-term holders. It doesn't affect LT holders so irrelevant.

Nevertheless, expect to see some retracing as short-term 5p buyers take a quick fix.

As the SP starts its ascent there are 2 distinct possibilities forming:

1) The company issues a speeding ticket advising they know of no reason for the SP movements or

2) The company recognises the current SP movements and expects to make an announcement in due course.

Something is imminent either way!!!

A pleasant rise in the SP this morning, though insignificant compared to our hopes and expectations. However, don’t become disheartened when there is a lull or fallback in the SP. This is to be expected. Many traders will have picked up Val for a song over the last few months and it is inevitable there will be some profit-taking as the price rises.

Most of us already have taken our positions and awaiting the fateful RNS(s?) bar perhaps the odd top-up here and there. We have endured a torrid 2 years (at least) but…... yes, it has just been confirmed, the fat lady is already climbing the steps leading to the stage!

i was amused to read your opening line “i have no agenda here” in response to one of my posts on saturday. as an investor in valirx i have an obvious desire to see the sp considerably higher than 6p. i do not consistently ramp the share, in fact many of my posts have been critical of management and their decisions at key junctures. however, i then read your posts continually berating the share and warning of imminent massive dilution, or possibly worse, and fail to see what you hope to achieve. as a holder i have a direct interest in sp progression yet you say you will climb aboard only if certain conditions are met. fine, your choice, but don’t you think 33 posts in the last month for a share you may only consider buying is bordering on obsession? you are becoming a val groupie. have you considered counselling?

before you regurgitate your recent “unsuspecting newbies” (1/10/23), “good people being taken advantage of” (30/10/23) or “sucker-in ill researched small investors” (28/9/23) just cast your mind back. very commendable this concern for innocent punters although perhaps a little self-righteous in view of your own posting history. what a pity your conscience wasn’t evident as you ramped 4d, even in its death spiral. more amazing was your refusal to recognise or acknowledge the decline of that company and its failing sp. yet you continued to promote the share trying to entice other poor sods in almost as the bailiffs were at the door.

i’m very much live and let live and indeed enjoy a bit of banter with other posters. we all have different opinions and debate is to be welcomed. personally, i agree with teamhanz, harvey, ob and others that a truce would be much welcomed. however, when a person attempts to demean an investment of mine for their own financial gain, that’s a different matter. i would understandably take that personally and consider him/her a low-life and fair game. since the days of revolvers at dawn have passed how else to respond? well, with nearly 3000 posts to your name in just 3 years there is an ****nal of ammunition to fire back at you whenever needed. i would have no qualms of dredging up much of the dross you have written in desperate attempts to manipulate the market.

your val agenda could not be clearer. for or against, your choice, but please do not tell bare-faced lies when accused of trying to drive the price lower. we are not idiots. win or lose, we are entering the home straight and the result will shortly be announced. all the ramping/deramping in the world will not affect the outcome of any potential deals. why not wait till the fat lady sings, as she is approaching the stage even now.

At no point have I ever claimed everything is rosy in the garden. Clearly many mistakes have been made over the past 2 years and my own posts acknowledge that. However, I cannot the life of me fathom why you would spend so long on this forum with such negativity when your own ‘mission statement’ criticises those who commit that very act.

Perhaps you feel you’re obliged to save us all from our fate so you can sleep at night. Admirable, though entirely unnecessary. We all known the risks of investing, particularly in Aim. I accept your disastrous experiences with 4D, NCYT, HE1, SNT, INSP, etc give you an advantageous insight into companies NOT to invest in and I thank you for your concern but I’m a big boy and I’ll take my chances where I see fit.

PS. OB, If things do eventually work out and we happen to eventually meet on some Greek island, can I have your autograph. You have always struck me as a genuine bloke who has put his hard-earned cash into a worthy cause hoping to make a few quid along the way! I'll be driving a yellow Maserati and the drinks are on me!

This is exactly what you are doing every day when you post on VAL. Nothing historical about that. Reread your posts today, yesterday, last week, last month, whenever.

We all make mistakes in our investing, particularly in the minefield of Aim companies. I don’t like to see anyone, even yourself, lose money on the stock market. However, this blatant ramping/de-ramping to suit your agenda at any one time needs calling out, particularly when you then slate others for promoting a particular share they believe in.

There are clearly two distinct camps on this forum and we will soon know any outcome. Tears WILL be shed, whether holders who suffer a significant dilution or others, like yourself who will look at the sunny uplands only to think what might have been. I know which camp I’ve settled in. Champagne anyone?

I took a small position here a week ago following the impressive half-year results. The SP just looked too inviting for a company with 94% of shares held by institutions and a P/E around 15.

Sky are now reporting Apax Partners are back in for the WGSN slice "with discussions at an advanced stage". Their original enquiry earlier this year was in the region of £700m but now expected to be substantially below. Nevertheless, with an ASCL mkt cap of less than £1b, it could well see a significant sum deposited in the company coffers.

I took a couple of small top-ups this morning from divis elsewhere. Following yesterday's Q&A, Adam's X positivity and to top it all, Porky's desperation, it just seems like all the stars are aligned!

Like all genuine holders I am appalled at the current SP. Most of us will be holding at multiples of the current price. However, no devastating RNS has just been released and no more shares recently been issued. Each of us still owns the same percentage of the company, proportionate to our holding, as we did some months ago. Yes, the market value of those shares has tumbled but that is not a financial loss unless holders sell to crystallise that loss.

Like many others, I wait in anticipation every morning for a 7am RNS which justifies our perseverance in Valirx. Another day passes and no news. However, there are many SHs with significantly greater holdings and probably at a considerably higher average than my own. While Adam may not be ‘inside’ you can be sure he is a keen observer of how the company is operating and using his past experience to ‘suggest’ any improvements the Board may consider. He remains the largest holder and as such has the most to lose in the event of any lack of progress. He also will not sit by twiddling his thumbs if he does not see the progress or effort we all demand. Nice bloke or not, he did not become a successful entrepreneur without making ruthless decisions when necessary.

I do not consider myself a ramper. I have been critical of management in the past and some of the extraordinary poor choices they have made. However, we are where we are and until that low-ball placing arrives I remain hopeful, though maybe not overly confident, that it might instead be a RNS that brings a long overdue smile to our faces. I certainly think we deserve it!

Well, our resident porcine chap has now stated (24/9/23 @ 23.19) that the very best we can hope for is a 1p/2p placing within the next 3 months. Yes, this is the very chap who has lost a fortune in earlier Aim ventures and still thinks of himself as Warren Buffet reinvented. The same speculator who is now advising Dr Adam Hargreaves, a successful entrepreneur with a highly-qualified scientific background, to cut his losses and get out prior to the giveaway placing.

I only mention this particular post by Porky so I can refer back to it on Christmas Day when the 3 months have passed. I am sure most long-term holders will enjoy seeing our Mr Bacon with egg on his face.

Agreed. This may have been in the pipeline for a few weeks but Adam's commercial acumen could already be evident.

Porky is clearly a well-educated and eloquent poster. To those genuine holders who defend his viewpoints ask yourself why he would spend so much time trying to deride Val if, as he claims, he is still holding. Either he hasn’t got the hang of ramping or he has an ulterior motive.

According to his crystal ball, a 5p or lower placing is imminent yet he continues to hold? Any genuine shareholder with such conviction would sell to buy back at the lower price. A different agenda becomes apparent.

All his posts (an unbelievable 79 just in the last month!) have the clear objective of unsettling Val holders in the hope of getting them to sell and drive the SP lower. Like many of us, this individual must see amazing potential in Val to spend his time continually berating the share in the hope of entering at an even lower price. We all know he is desperate to recoup some of the massive losses following his earlier crazy ventures into the stock market.

I accept there have been many mistakes made by the BOD which have resulted in our current shameful SP but believe Adam’s appointment will be the spark to ignite Val. By all means be critical of previous Board failings but be wary of giving any credence to someone who is desperate to profit at your expense.
