on the aim, most holders will lose money. however, like a honeypot, it still has an attraction. big bucks can potentially still be made on the right share. big losses too as pigshare (porky9/share4) can confirm.
as regards val, like many long-term-holders, i simply bought in too early and then averaged down. personally, i am very confident val will come good under the new regime. i refuse to sell at a loss and more than happy to bide my time while mark gets the ship in order. pm, ob, gb1, laura and a couple of others who post regularly on here also see val as a sound long-term investment.
others post alternative viewpoints. some like ratcliffewriter purport to be potential investors seeking enlightenment. they need to make a judgement call having watched the ceo’s presentation and reviewed the information available. don’t rely on advice from a forum, that would be very naïve. if you don’t see the potential then move on. plenty more opportunities out there.
uncanny undoubtedly has a negative viewpoint yet i am aware he is a concerned holder and another holder has verified his presence at the recent london q&a. like many holders he is peeved at the current sp (aren’t we all) yet, interestingly enough, with 87 posts this month, he continues to hold. he obviously expects the sp to recover at some point or he would have sold and moved on. regardless of a holder’s average, if they don’t see any revival, sell out now and accept the loss. bet he doesn’t, cos he knows, long-term val still has considerable potential. fomo is a *****, isn’t it?
just like val’s major holder, the prof. he has a fortune tied up in val yet obviously still believes his investment will eventually come good. traders want a quick turn-around of weeks, maybe even days. however, weekly, monthly or even longer falls in the sp don’t impact those who ultimately believe their investment is sound. many probably aren’t even aware of the daily fluctuations.
we then come to the mischief-makers. led by pigshare, a sad individual with little else to occupy his life. 58 posts under his p9 guise and 17 posing as s4. one individual posting 75 times in a month on a share he isn’t invested in. just a wannabe attention seeker who can be ignored.
of the other non-investors spending their days posting negative nonsense here i expect several of those are previous holders who chose to sell at a loss and feel extreme bitterness towards val. they knew and accepted the risk when they invested. some you win, some you lose. a loss only becomes realised when you sell and materialise that loss. c’est la vie!
most long-term holders still see val still as a potential jackpot. the ball is still in spin, and last bets being called. plenty of room for those who choose to watch rather than participate but please don’t park your skodas next to our ferraris.
