My questions would be:
1) often EUA gets mentioned by people online, is emergency drug authorisation a pathway the company would consider or not.

2) before commercialisation we need solid evidence the drug works. How will this be achieved? Is the company still wanting to go down the road platform trial route as mentioned following P3 results, and if so what time scales are realistic for this.

More likely it got over bought and now going for a pull back. If it went only up something would be wrong. Wouldn’t read into it re trials.

I know they have to market the drug as COPD or COVID or asthma... but I wish we could just label it for what it is, a broad spectrum antiviral. Why limit ourselves to just one criteria.

I'm invested in 4D but dont follow it too closely. On paper it looks like it has huge potential. I guess its only a matter of time until one of the drugs becomes commercialised and then the SP will reflect this. Surprised there hasn't been any T/O attempts.

The reason I actually invested was because I often think we will look back on chemo as a cancer treatment as rather medieval. Live biotherapeutics I believe have enormous potential. I just hope 4D are the right company to develop them that I have invested in.

The drug worked in phase 1 and 2, in phase 3 it still worked, but the standard of care had improve so the benefit wasn't statistically significant. No adverse effects, and when breaking down into sub groups there was still benefit for some using SNG.

The problem is until its proven in a trial, its not enough.

SNG needs to get a trial, either through ACTIV program, a platform trial, or bought out/ JV for someone else to take this over the line.

The need for a broad spectrum antiviral isn't going anywhere.

Until we get orders (or JV T/O) the SP wont really go up, and we wont get orders until a successful trial, so we just have to wait. I am still invested, but I wont hold my breath. I've lost heavy, but I did my research and I still believe there can be a future for the drug. Holding this share at times feels crazy. But sometimes things are crazy until they're genius.

No I definitely wouldn’t have invested as much as I did. I don’t really know what RM could have done though to salvage the SP. The SP is where it is because of results. Fair enough you have your opinion on him, I feel I’m probably in the minority wanting to give him a little more time. But fingers crossed going forward.

I’m down a lot, would I buy today? Yes. At these levels the upside if huge, the problem imo is how to commercialise this drug, but the science has to come first, and very slowly we seem to be getting there. For that reason it’s a big risk, but I find it hard to believe that Synairgen will never go higher on the SP than where it currently is, so yes I’ll hold, and yes I’d buy more.

Re RM… I would have loved to have seen how many people would be calling for his head on positive results. In my mind he has until 2023 year end to prove his worth to the company, otherwise his time is up. God it’s like a football manager, it’s a results business.

If I had to guess… a neutral to positive RNS with little change to the SP.

But a further step to getting the SP back to where we hope.

As an investor I feel in a weird place right now. the ATS gave good results for SNG, I have no doubt it works, I have no doubt INF plays a critical role in COVID disease progression. However, can this company prove their drug works and will reduce the impact of COVID and potential future respiratory pandemics on the world and get the drug to market. And from a more selfish point of view, make a return on my investment which currently is down 75%. I really hope and believe it will, GLA.

Also sorry to bring up other companies but as someone also invested in 4D and other biotech companies, I feel these investments are crazy until they aren't and then they're genius.

Thanks Size82, your comment answers my question really well. So in short the trial didn't fail because the SNG didn't work, but because the effects were masked by SoC.

Also, just because people question the company Doc, doesn't make them a troll. I know a troll would say this, but I am a genuine long term investor who has been holding well before the P3 results and therefore down quite a bit. Asking questions and having productive debates is what this forum should be about. A lot of people following Februarys RNS wrote about how it was obvious steroids reduce the effectiveness of interferon and that is why it failed, I wanted to clarify that this is not the case.
