Were results poor? I’m invested in 4D hence why I probably have this out look. But this drug has no side effects much like Synairgen, and on patients where nothing else would work, the drug gave a 25% increase in survival rates. Cancer treatments are extremely valuable, but a cancer treatment like this and the results it achieved deserves the increase today. Long term I still think £1.50 + is on the cards for 4D
I am a health care worker, after somehow managing to avoid COVID since the pandemic began, I now have COVID. Just a few days ago I went to my first concert in years. 10,000 people were there and surprise surprise I now have it.
To be honest, so far it’s a mild cold. But I do believe the UK, and maybe even the world seem to be acting like this pandemic is over. It isn’t. Many of my friends in and out of work also have it currently.
After THAT P3 result I was gutted, still am, I don’t expect to make my money back anytime soon, but the need for synairgen hasn’t gone and I really hope for the worlds sake, if synairgen really does what many of us believe it does, it gets made available to the masses very soon.
I know people say this will be seasonal, like flu. But it appears to be more like waves, with multiple waves a year. And we are just playing Russian roulette with how bad is the next variant going to be.
I guess I concur with what others have said. Although I’m still holding. I see this as a loss don’t get me wrong, but whatever synairgen is worth, I believe that is more than what it’s currently valued at.
Deep dive data and Activ 2 needs to come in and save our investment.
To the OP, like many of us here, you did your research and we fell on the wrong side of results. My lesson here is if you do take a risk, only have it a small part if your portfolio. I was far too heavily invested.
Maybe I’m naive, but I honestly think results just simply didn’t go our way. No one saw it coming. I have faith in activ 2 and long term I believe the company will succeed. But for now, I’m accepting my loss and waiting for updates from the company.
My take on it, as it is now, it’s pretty awful and the SP reflects that. In my mind I accept I’ve lost my investment.
However, Activ 2 does have the potential to bring good news to the company. If it does, I would certainly hope to regain the good proportion of my initial investment, and I wouldn’t even say making money would be impossible given how low this company is valued.
So in short we can take two paths, the most likely one going to nothing and loosing my investment
But the other one less likely giving an overall good result.
On the one hand I think slim chance Activ 2 will save us, but I would say there is more chance of that happening than what I thought negative P3 results would be only a week ago.
Regarding long covid, if steroids suppress the effect of INF, then surly long covid results will also be a dud.
If they were good I agree that would be game changing.
Our best bet imo is to sit tight until activ 2 results, and beginning activ2 P3. If that shows Synairgen really does work, which imo the fact it hasn’t been kicked off yet shows it has every chance, that’s going to blow this thing back to all time highs. But they are some big If’s.
Alhambra, I don’t know how easy that would be to implement. The admisión of the drug isn’t the simplest and at the cost per treatment I doubt that would really work. But with the drug having no side effects it’s an interesting theory.
Would an EUA and orders be a likely outcome? I’d love to have the guts to buy big now, but already I’ve gone to deep on this. If I can get a decent amount of my initial investment back I would be over the moon.
It’s heart breaking. I feel crushed. You have to make your own plan on what to do from here.
personally, the lesson I’ve learn is even if on paper everything seems perfect, nothing is guaranteed.
Im going to spend the next 10 years maxing my stocks and shares isa, investing in index funds, slow and steady try to regain my losses. But it’s a very long path ahead of me.
I still hold a very small amount of hope in SNG, haven’t sold my shares yet.
These are outpatients. And we are hoping because of this they aren’t taking steroids and it will show better results. However, does that mean these patients will be less ill? We all know synairgen needs a first to put out.
I still can’t believe it. The decrease in death rate and that we are still in Activ-2 is all that’s keeping my hopes up.
-Synairgen did reduce the death rate during 35 days, but wasn't significant in reducing length of hospital stay. No side effects.
-We have progressed so far in Activ-2, surely we must have had some promising data?
-If the US Government sees that this drug is effective at reducing death rates, and that is their main concern, an order could follow?
-Long term may have COPD/asthma potential and with patents the company own etc at very worst could the company be bought out or recoup some losses this way?
I am absolutely gutted. I still cant believe it, but clutching at straws is what I have said above accurate? I think I am going to hold this out for many years, accepting I have lost everything I've put in for now.
Great write up. Results aren’t delayed as of yet. Need to just accept its not going to be done quickly but it is going to be done correctly. As you can see from your post, the potential of this drug is huge. Synairgen are just a positive P3 away from greatness. If we still haven’t heard by the end of March, or if we get negative news then I’ll change my view. But until then, sit back, and relax.
Recently SNG share price has dropped? Did you sell? I certainly didn’t. Every day there seems to be more buy volume than sell volume. I feel this company is so niche that if you’re investing in it you must be fairly aware of the situation and therefore aware this is a long term game.
Can’t help but think 1) who is selling, because surely most PI’s aren’t letting shares go following this drop.
2) when the day of P3 does come, with not that many shares in issue, and most of the PI’s I presume not selling Immediately, is this not the perfect storm for a serious rise.
