In Spain has since July 2018 been testing vanadium redox flow batteries in conjunction with lithium batteries in a hybrid configuration. Initial comments was “ highly promising options to increase energy output” Does anybody have any knowledge if Siemens have used this hybrid configuration in a commercial situation?
Hi Ophidian, my post at 0918 and your post at 0924, in RNS on 23rd October 2019 regarding Vanchem acquisition Fortune said, “ the vanadium chemicals capability will be particularly key as the company grows its exposure to the emerging stationary energy storage industry through vanadium redox flow batteries” That means to me electrolyte production!!!
Electrolyte production coming soon in my opinion, vanadium stockpiled and not sold into the market, very large electrolyte rental contracts being negotiated and Vanchem producing vanadium chemicals into the market. Events are moving quickly and i believe that Bushveld cannot wait until the East London electrolyte facility has been built to fulfil its momentum and contractual obligations.
YTSS many thanks for pivot power video, it is just beyond comprehension how many storage batteries will be needed worldwide to cater for the electric vehicle take up,and the pressure that will have on National grids.
Just come across an article dated April 2019 that RedT won a £41m contract to install 72 storage batteries in Oxford to create a superhub to charge electric vehicles. Does anybody know if this project went ahead and the installations were completed??
Knuttie, like you i feel that Eskom could be a poison chalice but i feel that BMN are very close to Politicians and Eskom enablers that we may not have much wiggle room. I just keep saying to myself that the World Bank and other financial institutions are putting up the money and hopefully ensure BMN don’t get shafted.
Will in my opinion be much higher than those predicted by SP Angel our broker, i know vanadium price has fallen to low levels but extra productivity and premium sales in the USA will i believe bring us in much higher than the $31.6m forecast.
That sustained momentum in the installation of vrfb’s by our partners Avalon, Celltube and Enerox using rental vanadium electrolyte supplied by Bushveld will be the catalyst for moving the SP northward. I have my fingers crossed that Eskom will also provide the momentum but the political agendas in SA may stall and delay the project even though i believe the President desperately wants it to succeed. An rns that states our partner ???? Has won a contract to install vrfb’s at such a location producing ex amount of energy will be the starting gun to get the recognition we deserve.
Bushveld Energy have inter-matted that they will develop, build and project manage vrfb mini grids on the African continent. I acknowledge that Uet, Cellcube, Avalon etc will build the vrfb but do we have a partner/builder who will do all the other engineering/building work to make sure the whole system is working and maintained.
It will give you all the financial information you require, this company generates cash and is developing revenue streams. We have also been investing in other companies and setting up vrfb platforms. Just read rns’s over the last 4 months
Is $31.9m dollars i am of the opinion even with lower vanadium prices that Bushveld minerals will come in much higher than this figure. I have know more financial information than anybody else on this board but our production has increased at Vametco our products have a premium price and our shipments to the USA have not decreased. Vanchem will add a little to our bottom line so i am bullish that our post tax profit will be higher than SPangel forecast.
