Has been shocked by the drop in the price of oil, coronavirus has gripped the planet and will create havoc and a global economic crisis. Pundits were talking about a correction in the markets, but one constant still remains that will effect us all, climate change. That problem will not go away after the oil price recovers and the coronavirus is contained and beaten. World governments will still have to deal with climate change and the introduction of renewable energy and Bushveld will still be a the forefront of the battery storage revolution.

At these very low prices is my main concern, a cheeky bid by a well researched predator is a possibility. I know about 45% of the shares are held by PI’s but please don’t think all would hold out. There are some very nervous shareholders at the moment who could/would bail out. Just a thought!!!

The latest RNS stated “This joint venture will deepen and strengthen our relationship with redT and allow Bushveld to develop further expertise in financial modelling and legal structuring of vanadium electrolyte rental model” For me this may indicate that Fortune will create a financial rental Bushveld subsidiary to keep revenue streams within the company. This new subsidiary will also have to deal in the future with the recycling and further rental of the recycled electrolyte. I have read in other rns’s that bigger rental agreements are being negotiated worldwide. Very interesting times ahead.

Should be reading the latest news and have confidence that a solution to their energy problems is staring them in the face at very reasonable costs.

Battery may not be vanadium but the positive side must be that the South African Government and Eskom officials can see very good savings and cost reductions on the grid which can only bode well for renewable storage batteries in South Africa. The only question is what battery System will they choose?

Documents show that Vanchem chemicals produce pregnant solutions that are sent to the chemical plant for production of various vanadium chemicals including, V2 O5 powders, electrolyte and vanadyl oxalate. Does anybody know how much electrolyte is being manufactured at Vanchem and whether that manufacturing process can be up scaled easily?

Fortune stated in one of his recent interview’s that they were developing hundreds of new jobs. Last count 480 personnel at Vametco 180 at Vanchem and now additional staff for leasing business and development develop managers and in the future manufacturing jobs on vrfbs. Must be music to the ears of the SA government ministers.
