Following the commercial discovery of the Greater Sunrise gas and condensate field in 1974, and more than twenty (20) years discussing the Greater Sunrise gas and condensate field located in the joint area between RDTL and Australia, there was no certainty with regards to development concept options to develop the Greater Sunrise field. This is due to the different views of the government of the Republic Democratic of Timor-Leste (RDTL) and Australia, as well as of the Operator Woodside and TIMOR GAP on the development concept and the pipeline route to deliver the gas from the Sunrise fields.

Today, 6th of February 2023, TIMOR GAP, E.P. hereby announces that the VIII Constitutional Government of RDTL, led by H.E. the Prime Minister General Taur Matan Ruak, through TIMOR GAP’s Greater Sunrise Negotiation Team have managed to overcome these challenges and obstacles faced during the negotiation process with the Sunrise Joint Venture (SJV) partners, which consist of TIMOR GAP, Woodside and Osaka Gas, as the SJV agreed to select a reputable third-party consultant, specialized in this field, to conduct the concept select study. The results of the study will provide a credible source of information to SJV to select the development concept of the Greater Sunrise gas and condensate field, with a strong focus on bringing the gas pipeline to RDTL and developing the LNG Plant in RDTL. It is expected that the study will be completed within maximum 6 months.

Their own plan (now 2 separate projects) involves both Import and Export facilities
both of which were originally to be built at Beaco on the South Coast and fed by
Sunrise initially.

The Gas/lng Imports plus others now to be built near the capital Dili at Metinaro
someone has to provide that supply and held in lng tank farm 90 days security
supply, why not Chuditch ?

Has to happen , in one form or another this time CDF, they need revenues
and PDQ, it's not just about their own on Island sector anymore, its much
wider, mass cheap loans and assistance from world banks etc, have strings
mostly progress of the Island and other sectors.

They will not want to lose any of that, ASEAN, Indonesia's president has championed
their entry BUT again a lot of question marks over can Timor find the funds to pay its
way in the organisation, all member countries pay equally , for the organisation and
events held (Big annual commitment)

Australia, pushing for their WTO membership, despite Horta's , rhetoric , they are nothing
but bullies.

Even god almighty Gusmao, must now realise ACTION's now order of the day, or as the local
NGO Lao Hamutuk has warned them for many, many years, its a really bad , FISCAL CLIFF.

That's the problem CDF, all the press coming from the Timor House, notorious
for incorrect vast progress statements for years, most since Woodside have said
we will look again at both options, has been like once more , they have it as a
done deal, as they have many times in the past two decades.

Only two things , as said for years, that will make the industry stand up , take notice
and return, is ACTION's by others, Woodside for Sunrise, or others like Santos/ENI
jv having been assured by TIMOR (they have their own Darwin pipeline two project
to their own refinery) they can carry out their projects, as they see fit.

The other, Timor finally comes clean, is it ALL to come to Beaco if ever built , or is
it just Sunrise in Chains, best way to do that , as also said many times, is to once
again Showcase Chuditch, as they did with the opening of the bid round, with
Sundagas FPSO plan front and centre APPROVED.
