Sound energy have found it difficult to attract institutional investors other than the usual suspects. When they did get someone to invest in the cash raise last July it happened to be the most bashful group of investors in the whole wide world. Did they approach Sound of was it the other way around? Why anonymity? As they obviously have not added to their hoard of Sound shares, have they been selling? One way to depress expectations of the share price at LE would be to maintain a depressed share price in the run up.

The share price sits below the descending, short term moving averages. The 10week moving average(red) now represents the long term descending trendline. If the share price breaks decisively up through this line a sharply higher share price is signalled. Currently, this breakout sits at just 23p.

Last Friday the share price fell below the lower Bollinger Band signalling an end to low volatility. On Monday, the share price fell relatively sharply on low volume but the Tuesday RNS steadied the ship. By the end of the week the share price was back within the Bollinger Bands.A good sign. After narrowing bands are breached the first move could be a head fake. It has to be hoped this is the case for Sound. An increase in volatility of the share price is to be expected in the coming weeks. Exciting times.

I'm afraid there is a third scenario which is the more likely. That is the scenario where Sound shareholders are told to wait 12-18 months for a never ending outcome.

The peculiar point contained within this update yesterday is that there is no timing update given other than the rigless well testing will occur after March 21st 2019.

With the email reply from Sarah: " Firstly thank you for taking the time to write in. Unfortunately we can’t comment on timelines as the rules do not allow it but we have advised end April for results which should be roughly right. (these things as you say can sometimes be a bit fluid) ", the next month is going to be a traders dream in this share. It could descend into dark places. It would have been better if the "we can't comment" was followed by no comment. This reply could be one of many sent out, only the tip of the iceberg. Not much to support the share against persistent deramping unless the GSA arrives, but that hasn't arrived for a few years.

Is a GSA being negotiated for the Greater Tendrara Project? This is different from a GSA for " the 133.5km2 development concession area relating to the Tendrara gas discovery". Would be a real coup for Sound. I suppose the " Grand Tendrara project" could be a translation of the Greater Tendrara Project. From RNS dated 16 Oct 2018: " the new Greater Tendrara Petroleum Agreement covers an area of approximately 14,500km2 extending across eastern Morocco and surrounding the 133.5km2 development concession area relating to the Tendrara gas discovery".

I thought I would post due to unpopular demand. The share price continues to move sideways as it has done for several weeks. There is a downward trendline which joins the highpoint on 31 Aug (43p), 19 Oct (38.66p) and 11 Jan (30.80p). This trendline is important and ostensibly stretches back to the high points, in share price terms, a couple of years back. That trendline was nearly broken earlier this week, obviously to the upside.

Today we have a rising volume, albeit from a very low base, and a decline that takes the share price just outside the base line of the Bollinger bands. The share price has been contained within narrowing Bollinger Bands for several weeks reflecting low volatility and a sideways movement of the share price. The break through the bottom of the Bollinger Bands indicates the low volatility of the share price is ending and the share price is in for a rapid move. Which way? No one knows. The break of the lower Bollinger Band could mean the share price will move rapidly lower. However, as is often the case, the first move to break the lower Bollinger Band is a head fake and the share price is due a rapid move upwards. Exciting times. Sound has updated today from the TE-7 well in Tendrara where pressure readings have increased following the latest retrieval of the pressure gauge data. The measured pressure data provides further information on the extent and quality of the reservoir at TE-7 and provides confidence in the TE-5 Horst discovery ahead of the FID. I think you are being a little unfair to Me Parsons. End of March was always going to be important date for his trading plan. Every day, at the moment, could hold important news concerning Te10, GSA, FEED, and Sidi etc and so it would be hard to time anything without someone being suspicious. Exciting times.
