Three snippets to look for :

1. The Company expects to be able to confirm a revised net pay estimate in mid-February 2019.

2. Seismic interpretation and modelling to provide an estimate of the gas resources within the discovery at this specific well and to de-risk the stratigraphic upside continue and are expected to be completed also by mid-February.

3. The first stage of the TE-10 testing programme, which will commence early February, will conduct a series of flow tests on multiple intervals between 1,899m MD and 2,070m MD to establish the presence of deepest moveable gas, and reduce the range of uncertainty on gas resource volumes. Possible news here.

Is this the RNS which stated " with initial estimates of net pay (based on various conservative assumptions) of up to 10.5m ". Sounded great to me.

Mr.Jordan you said " Forgot the net pay, we have a possible gross pay of UP TO 10m in thinly bedded intervals. This isn't good imo and will be deemed non commercial " and that was after reading a plainly written RNS. Utter tosh. We all have a past.

The dog days between the initial discovery and further news are upon us. The share price, the 2 week moving average and the 5 week moving average are all consolidating. The volume has fallen back. More importantly the ten week moving average has bottomed and is now moving upwards to add strength to the overall picture. The share price is primed for good news.

Thanks for posting the query and reply. I tend to go for what the horse said, not your interpretation. The former is fact whilst the interpretation is not.

Strikes me that it someone contacts Mr.Parsons for an answer to a query then that answer should be given full respect. If not why do it? You will be drawing lines on a graph pretty soon after reading between the lines fails. Hocus pocus.

Believe what is said in the RNS rather than speculation : " awaiting drilling of the next, and final, well in Sound Energy's current exploration programme, TE-11 ".

" is being prepared for a 66 mmscf/d development project ". Has Te5 increased by 10% from " an estimated 60 mmscf/d of gas"? Shows the conservative nature of Sound management estimates.

I have often wondered about the $15 million placing on 2nd July 2018 and the need to keep below the 3% noticeable level. The need for anonymity appears to have outweighed the need for a better deal on the investment. When the share price fell to 11p recently the same investor could have bought one share and got two shares free relative to the 37p placing. Of course even a relatively small investment would have taken the stake above 3%. It would seem that investment is not what is going here. I think it is "partnership" rather than investment. The placing is to make sure all three drills are completed and allow for any contingency that might arise or "ideas" that Mr.Parsons might have. All three wells will be drilled because they have been paid for in advance. Someone wants to see the result of three exploration wells.

Haven't posted the share chart for a week due to popular demand. The share price has fallen and there are black clouds on the horizon according to some. The reality is , after the rapid rise from 11p, the 5 week moving average has just about caught up with the share price. A healthy sign as it allows for consolidation for the next move upwards. The target is still for the share price to break up through the 40 week moving average to around 40p. The 10 week moving average is at its nadir and next week will start to move ahead. Not today, but the share price is coiled for the next spring up.

I do not think mechanical stimulation has been confirmed. The 27th December 2018 RNS stated the company will "perform a well test, including possible mechanical stimulation". In the 7th January 2019 RNS the company said "plans are now in progress to conduct a well test over the reservoir interval". The same RNS highlighted "moveable gas" using the MDT gas test. Is there a reference where the company said stimulation is a certainty ( other than Mr.JTF and his brother)?

The share price has retraced to the 2 week moving average. It is solidly set up for a move upwards. The ten week moving average is bottoming out and is on the cusp of following the share price upwards. The 32p resistance represents shareholders willing to sell. The low volume indicates the number is on the wane. The share price is only going one way.

The share price has been caught up by the 2 week moving average and is now primed for the next step up to 40p. Support is given by the 5 week moving average breaking through the 10 week moving average and the increase in volume. A higher price is signalled.

This is what I think we have been told:

The tagi reservoir starts at a depth of 1899m.
The thickness of the (tagi) structural enclosure is 59m and ends at a depth of 1958m. It is gas bearing.
The thickness of the (tagi) stratigraphic trap is 51m and ends at a depth of 2009m. It is gas bearing
The structural enclosure and the stratigraphic trap are separated by the structural spill point.
Below the base of the tagi sandstone sequence there are gas shows to a depth of 2070m. The thickness of these gas shows is 61m. The first 21m of these gas shows are above background level.
The well was drilled to a depth of 2218m.

It is important to know what a spill point is : " The structurally lowest point in a hydrocarbon trap that can retain hydrocarbons. Once a trap has been filled to its spill point, further storage or retention of hydrocarbons will not occur for lack of reservoir space within that trap. The hydrocarbons spill or leak out, and they continue to migrate until they are trapped elsewhere".

The gas has migrated into the structural enclosure and has filled the available space. The excess gas has migrated into the stratigraphic trap. The stratigraphic trap has been filled and the excess gas sits below in rocks that could be Permian in age. There is 10.5m of net pay. There could be more. Exciting times.

Mr. JezTheFez, you tell everyone to await results of testing but you appear to already know the wording of the RNS to be written in a few months time. Are you Mr.Parsons in disguise or are you attempting to spread despondency? Get aboard the good ship Sound. Exciting times ahead.

The chart is looking strong. The 5 week moving average is poking through the 10 week moving average. A harbinger of higher prices. The short term moving average has caught up with the share price and a stepping stone has been formed for the run up to the 40 week moving average. Resistance at 32p will be broken as stale bulls are washed away. The increased volume will support the rise.

With all this talk of gas migration and where it originates from, I suspect porosity and permeability is red hot down there. Suggests flow rates and commerciality will be no problem.

I know the diagram is pictorial and I am not geologically minded but could the gas "lower down" originated across the fault from the corresponding stratigraphic trap. This might be evidence that the trap is gas bearing.

Share price looking strong as moving averages catching up to the recent rise. 5 week moving average about to move up to cross the the 10 week moving average indicating higher prices. Weak resistance at 32p. Good volume sustaining the rise.
