Is averaging down the answer? Not if the share price is set to continue to fall. Those that averaged down at 40p have simply increased their loss. Those that averaged down at 20p also increased their loss. Hot on their tails are the people who averaged down at 12p and 10p. Welcome aboard the fresh faced 8p average downers. Buy at 8p only if you think the shares are a good investment. The fact you might have bought at 60p is irrelevant. The fact that you made a poor decision 12-18 months ago should only affect your buying decision today in that it informs you that you make mistakes. Sometimes costly.
I agree. The management can let this play out especially when the the income from salary far outweighs that obtained from shares and options. Do not underestimate self preservation and self interest where money is concerned. Shareholders are back of the queue. Shame and embarrassment are easy bedfellows if the nest has been properly lined. How low can the share price go. We have still to find out. Exciting times.
I strongly object to being called pear tree partridge. And I have been kerchinged by plonkey. And are you absolutely sure the gherkin took place? I can find no evidence of it.
Never liked people called Brian. I think it goes back to when I was a child and we lived next door to a brain surgeon. Everyone in the street thought it was great to have someone so feted and intelligent living in the neighbourhood. I used to boast about him to my friends at school. He even had a van with his name emblazoned on the side. When he went past everyone used to smile. It was only 40 years later when my mother remembered him as " Brian Sturgeon, the dyslexic signwriter" that I realised I had been fooled. I remember when Sound shareholders used to eulogize about our Brian. Such a clever man. I hope I don't have to wait another forty years to find out if it is true.
Mr Trellis, filtering on a bulletin board is far, far removed from burning books. I would like it to not tuning in to a radio station one doesn't agree with, at best. Let's not lose a sense of proportion
The trouble, Mr Tradesnakes, with abusing continually is that you become an abuser. Not a good position. You appear a little confused. If Sound is a "pile of poo" shouldn't we all be grateful to Mr Parsons for persevering on our behalf. You seem to make him out to be a knight in shining armour on his mount valiantly taking on the monster for the benefit of shareholders. Go Sir James.
Psychologically, Mr Michener's "ten or more companies" has the same effect as saying Te10 is a "gas discovery". It could be the same old record being played but in a different language. Be prepared for an offer but also be prepared for "there was interest but it never matched our valuation of the Eastern Morocco portfolio". This management have never failed to surprise on the downside.
Scrub my name from your list. I don't have respect for myself. No idea what is going on. Just compared the share price of Sou and Sdx, both of whom have assets for sale in Morocco.
Mr Jez, you demonize Mr Michener and beatify Mr Parsons. Do you not think they are working in tandem? Peas in a pod. A little like the double act on this bulletin board. Their names escape me at the moment.
Anyone know if this Brian guy has bought some shares recently that he is now trying to pump and dump? Seems like a common denominator in all these leaky emails.
"a lot [of] support for our technical evaluation".
Forgive me if I am incorrect but I thought Mr Michener evaluated the seismic as being rushed, poor quality and " not very good". Who's working for these companies? His mother? Her son, the chubby faced cherub can do no wrong.
Are you suggesting Mr Michener as a sort of agony aunt? I think you might be close to the mark there.
"Dear Brian, my husband doesn't understand me. I have put all our savings into the hands of a dashing young man so he can cavort around Sevenoaks in a sporty Italian job. He used to give me great pleasure but in recent months his star has fallen. He promised me starry nights in Morocco lit be a raging gas flame but recently I have found he ignores all my emails and he has shut down all social media contact. Have I been led astray? Please advise.
Not one to argue. But I cannot agree. If Mr Parsons cannot manufacture a bid there is little point to him. He would have to walk away in shame and with no compensation. Follow the money. The most likely outcome is the one that rewards Mr Parsons the most.
"this means it can happen anytime between now and year end. NOT at year end"!
Not clear to me. I think it " could happen at anytime in the future" would be more apt. FFS KTF WTF. Have you learnt nothing in the last 12-18 months? It could happen in the future. Let's leave it at that. Maybe.
Je pense si qu'il y a une offre que M. Parsons devra faire parvenir aux actionnaires, sinon il sera accusé de prolonger l'histoire du Sound afin de continuer à prendre son énorme salaire.
