RE: Sodium Polyitaconate18 Jan 2021 12:11
Hi Grace83,
I wrote to Bulldog because as you say some websites say that their Beard Balm ingredients include Sodium Polyitaconate and other don’t. Response below. Good news is the new formulation contains Sodium Polyitaconate! (ie Itaconix ingredient Velasoft).
Hi there,
Many thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. I understand your concern and I am happy you have written to us to clarify this.
We have changed the packaging of our Original Beard Balm to a 100% recycled amber jar. The main reason we switch is because we had a lot of damages on the aluminium jars which was causing wastage. We've removed the wad in the lid which improves recyclability as well. Our new jar is made of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, plus it can be fully recycled itself. We have also amended the formulation slightly, therefore some retailers still have the existing formulation in the alu tin, hence the discrepancy.
Our improved formula (in the amber jar as below!) is as follows:
INGREDIENTS : Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, Isopropyl palmitate, Cetearyl alcohol, Glyceryl stearate citrate, Pentaerythrityl distearate, Sodium polyitaconate, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) butter, Prunus amygdalus dulcis (Sweet almond) oil, Camelina sativa seed oil, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium stearoyl glutamate, Parfum (Fragrance)*, Benzoic acid, Tocopherol, Dehydroacetic acid, Limonene, Sodium hydroxide, Camellia sinensis (Green tea) leaf extract, Linalool, Evernia prunastri (Oakmoss) extract, Citronellol, Geraniol, Potassium sorbate, Sodium benzoate, Citric acid. *A blend of natural ingredients
