Hi. I was trying to find my stuff on RTN but I can’t lay my hands on it right now – multitasking on various levels!! I think the lower end on off the market may fare slightly better. So, for example, I jumped in a bit early with Wetherspoons, but slowly selling off – I have tremendous patience - positions for profit. However I believe that just about everyone will suffer to some extent! So, I see the large jump, today as being unjustified. This is the sort of position that I won’t hold too long, unless, of course, it went against me!

Property group Segro has launched a deeply discounted rights issue to shore up a balance sheet battered by the property downturn. The former Slough Estates will raise £500.6m though the issue of new shares at 10p each on the basis of 12 new shares for each one currently owned. The proceeds of the fully underwritten share issue will reduce net indebtedness on a pro forma basis from 119% to 77%

Hotels, coffee shop and restaurant group Whitbread has warned that sales have turned negative in recent weeks with no clear trading pattern. "The sales trends we reported in December continued and in recent weeks group like-for-like sales have been predominantly negative, particularly due to lower occupancy in Premier Inn," chief executive Alan Parker said.
