Is there a good summary of this business available? The pros and cons.. Tried viewing online and through the threads but didn't find anything meaningful after the first 10 pages ;)

Bought 1314 shares at 09:24, just want to say that the share trade summary is garbage as it doesn't even show up. Don't use it to base any decisions on ;)

Can't even see RR getting there to be fair!

I just spent £130k over guide price for a property. Not nice but that's what you have to do in current climate.. Comparing to other houses similarly priced we paid a fair price.. We are aiming to stay for a long time so we are content with our purchase.
We also took out a 10 year fixed at 2% rather than a 1% 5 year fixed. Hopefully that was the right choice. Nevertheless it's 1/2% cheaper than previous mortgage which we got only 4 years ago!
It's all relative..
One thing for sure is that the need for housing shall increase until we get the one or two child policy ;)
Which I'm all for to be fair! Then we could all continue driving our ICE cars and do away with these poor build quality Tesla's which are a ticking time bomb and in all honesty who will buy a second hand car made of plastic that has 75% range capacity after 3-5 years..? And I'm certain no one will buy it from them after it has 50% range capacity and a shed load of electrical faults ;)

Just bought 'Vaxart', my doctor friend told me about it, it's a new method of administering vaccines orally.. it's a dollar share but thought it was worth a punt.. It's quite volatile but looks a good buy price at the moment.

Was staring at 95p thinking should I or shouldn't I!
Typical me I grew some balls just now and did it a few pence higher..
I still have a large buy order at 95p if it gets there again so not all lost unless it continues down of course..

Rightly or wrongly I just topped up £50k to bring my sharedealing account average to 57010 @ 99.79 and my ISA account remains at 14996 @ 92.59
Fingers crossed.. hoping the US market will jump onboard now.

It's not 30%.. typical ship 200 tons of fuel a day, that equates to anything between 100k-200k a day on fuel depending whether they are using MGO or HFO and the speed of the run / size of vessel. Could be more could be less. 1000+/- crew to pay, food, stores, provisions, maintenance, certification of vessels and other consumables. Port fees, pilotage fees, tugs..
Did you know it's 40k for a day alongside to embark guests on turnaround day? 4k to make a tug fast?

They are awash with high interest loans and share dilution from RI. 80% capacity to break even pre-covid on a cruise, maybe even higher now as no shore excursions and additional costs..
I am not tempted on this for the foreseeable.

I think the drop was due to The Federal Reserve saying it expects to raise interest rates more quickly than previously anticipated. The central bank's inflation forecast for the year also jumped sharply.
Oil down slightly too.
That's my take on why across the board stocks have gone down.
I think the penny is dropping that the stock market is high after a global pandemic and it really should be in a poorer state..
US can't keep printing money, high mcap companies are doing well relatively.. smaller companies have folded that couldn't support themselves financially.. oil price is on the way up..
Enjoy this whilst it lasts, I think there will be a recorrection on a number of shares. Chose your stocks wisely. At least travel stocks can't really get any worse ;)
Inflation rise will do some damage.
I've just agreed a ten year fixed mortgage rate at double the rate of the 5 year, put it that way :)

I made a 5% gain.

So after making a pathetic 5% gain over the past 12 months, I am now exactly back at the same point I entered at.. not even considering the fees..
