Have a buy order in for TUI at 253, another at 250.
Not too bothered if they are filled, but would be nice.
As have not been following TUI on the forums, I understand they have had financial assistance from German govt. (Three times?) Dividends unlikely for a few years, have they done a RI, is another likely if so? I have spare capital to take part in one if necessary. I see a few of the TUI ships sailing around where I am and understand they are not full capacity but there are enough onboard from what I have seen. I would imagine package holidays and flights to rebound faster than other travel sectors for families chomping at the bit for some sun when intl. Restrictions eased.
Any advice or info welcome.

Lufthansa closed 8.7% up

As LSE is closed today, thought might be worth mention that long haul flights are out performing short haul. Lufthansa was up 8% on opening. Hopeful for a positive start for RR and IAG on Tuesday.

All my holdings have a combined paper loss now for the first time in about 18 months since first lockdown. Too afraid to play the swings so I'll just sit it out. Just a shame it was all well in the green a month or two ago..
I know everyone is in the same boat, I just hope no one needs to sell.
I understand the need for tightening restrictions, I personally think it is OTT, but that's MY OWN opinion and I respect others even if I don't agree.
My organisation has made masks and social distancing compulsory since day one and full vaccination compulsory as of two months ago.
Just hope this is the last time, it's getting tiresome now.
If I had spare cash I'd plough it in, but I've been through too many rights issues to have anything else left to invest.

It's not nice seeing your portfolio dropassively over the past couple of weeks and this news also today.. I hope everyone is ok and that you remain patient. The new year will bring back growth across the board.. But it truely sucks to be back where we were 12 months ago :(

I topped up an hour ago, only £900 squids worth as I sold a small US stock I had. Unfortunately it brought my average up to just over £1 lol. Anyway glad I did it, I think we might see a fragile Friday and a better Monday and thereafter as end of week is normally never anything to boast about..

Agreed! I got a 10 year fixed mortgage just to protect from this a couple months ago..

I'm aware that there are I think monthly or quarterly fees for an account, and these can be minimised by doing X amount of trades per month. But if I had for example 2 share dealing accounts and an ISA account (which I do), will I have to pay 3 sets of account fees? And if I do, do my number of trades have to be in just one to take advantage of reduction of fees across the board or it just applies to that account?

I've had this share for 9 months and I'm about 30% down, I did average down a bit a few months ago.. I'm fortunate that I only have a relatively small holding of £3k book cost. I am a little worried if there will be a RI in the new year. I have taken part in I think 3 RI over the past 18-24 months with various companies and I just don't have any liquidity to take part in another. Not that I'd particular ly like to anyway.. I remember IAG said previously they would not need to have another RI, but does that still stand as far as people are aware?
I took a BA flight to Barbados last week for work, it had 100 seats free but still looked reasonably full. Plus side was that I could spread out, down side was it was possibly not a highly profitable flight..
London Gatwick looked ALMOST as busy as it did pre Covid, which was nice to see.
I've got a lot of shares in Lufthansa and took part in their RI, anyone know where to get good info about that as it's missing from LSE forum.. Yahoo share forum is garbage..

London Gatwick North Terminal looked ALMOST as busy as it does any other time I have travelled. Lots of people on my flight but there were 100 seats free. Lots of people offered cheap upgrades.. It was reasonably hassle free to be honest.

I'm holding, I always intended to until I doubled my money, maybe even tripled. I think I bought at mid 90s. Most of my shares are travel orientated and I am still up by about 10k. I am Down about 20k from a few weeks ago but it's all relative and I'm really not concerned.
Chin up you lot. I'm flying to Barbados at 13:30 and I bet it's RR engines on the flight ;)
