Merivglasso - the company is 35 billion dollars in debt, it's undergone two rounds of share dilution. Their biggest tangible asset; their ships are mortgaged to the US bank... So what my friend exactly are you expecting?

They do not have the option of running on HFO as that is not part of their build spec which would at these times mean at the very less a 50% reduction in fuel bills.

Yes, they will deliver LNG for sea trials to commission the LNG system and to keep it cool. They shall most likely keep it cryogenic (-163c) as these fuel systems are not meant to be kept 'gas free' as it does untold amounts of damage long term. They are dual fuel - the secondary fuel being MGO, this shall be the primary fuel source as MGO is exponentially cheaper than LNG at the moment whilst keeping their LNG fuel tanks and lines cool with the minimum amount of LNG possible for this purpose. So at the moment and for the foreseeable future they shall not be using LNG as a primary fuel source. As I'm sure you are aware, most ships use HFO which is approximately at any given time 30-40% of the time cheaper than MGO. So as these dual fuel ships - that being LNG or MGO are not running on LNG because it is exponentially high cost (the same fuel that is for our power stations and the reasonhe government is subsidising our heating and electricity bills).

It may be LNG but it will be running on Marine Gas Oil due to the price of LNG. Marine Gas Oil is also an expensive option which is far from ideal...

Av. Of 252 here.. I've basically written this share off for the next few years. Thanking my lucky stars I only invested just shy of 2k here. Likewise for IAG as well. Lufthansa has been a massive saving grace and pulled my average on my portfolio back to the green. Have been swing trading Carnival to death. It's so predictable and ultimately a semi doomed company with it's multiple share dilution and 35 billion in debt. They have even mortgaged their ships to the US Bank. But it will not be allowed to go under so it's fun to play with.
Hope no one's got all their fingers in this pie.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, they do not hedge their fuel...

I wonder if the US will bring the initial rise down again like yesterday when their market opens up..

Nice rise, was expecting a bit more if I was honest..

Anyway... I took 15% of my share out earlier in the week, never managed to get back into RR, but have been a busy boy swing trading NIO and BAE instead with that money.
RR seems to be back to where I have left it. 10% in the green with the above so hoping to put it back into RR tomorrow where I took it from. Typically goes down on a Friday, probably won't this Friday though... we'll see... Made almost 1k but spent the whole week glued to my phone which probably isn't healthy ;)
