As I posted a few weeks ago, there's so much hype with RR it could be a very disappointing next Thursday, I think the figures will be exceptional but will the SP react positively?
Bigbadbob0228 Unfortunately not a chance that Airbus will restart production of the 380 despite pressure from Emirates, the assembly hall is now occupied with production lines for other Airbus aircraft and most of the manufacturing equipment has been disabled remember Emirates cancelled orders for 39 380s which really was the reason why Airbus ceased production.
Airbus could possibly consider a stretched version of the 350-1000 which would be RR powered.
RR certainly need to get Mr Clark back on their side as good as the 350-900 is the 350-1000 will certainly suit Emirates long term, with continued delays with the 777 it could happen.
Airbus really have a opportunity to upstage Boeing on long haul.
Unfortunately with the issues that Boeing are still having with certification of the revised 777 its going to be a couple more years before they start coming of the production line.
Airbus in the meantime are ramping up production of the RR powered 350 :)
