Far too much hype for the last few months about SMR, it's not happening for some time ( certainly in the UK)

Airlines recovering today yet RR continues to drop !

£7 by results day becoming more of a dream even £6 may not happen.

But as I always state I hope I'm wrong.

Have a feeling that SMR will not be happening in the UK under this Government decisions will be delayed indefinitely.

£7 by results day looking highly unlikely even £6 may be optimistic, hope I'm wrong but it seems a big ask.

NuckyT I think you are correct in your assumption

SMR in the UK isn't going to be happening whilst we have this Government in power as far as RR are concerned it's going to be overseas contracts that will be won.

RR future in the medium/long term will be the development of narrow body aero engines where there is a massive market

With Airbus producing just under 800 aircraft in 2024 a high percentage were narrow body and RR couldn't offer any engine option's

Track record of this Government isn't good, wouldn't be surprised if they delay the announcement of SMR for a couple of years already being reported that they are going to cut back spending on defence despite the proposed increase.

It's a bad cold nowt to worry about * not yet anyway

My main concern at the moment is the new tier structure announced I honestly believe that many business and first class passengers will defect to other carriers when they lose gold status, to retain gold you need to spend in excess of £20, considering the top classes makes big money for

BA without these passengers drop in revenue is to be expected

How can a company introduce a scheme that will anger their loyal customers so much amazes me.
