Despite pressure from Emirates Airbus have confirmed that they are not going to undertake any new development or production of the A380, the 380 assembly hall is now in use for other Airbus aircraft.

The new base opens end of this month at London Southend Airport 3 aircraft being based at SEN serving 20 routes.

Was tempted to sell on Monday as fall really reduced my pot *only holding just under 4000 shares but stayed with it and actually added a few hundred, which was a lot of money for me, so glad I didn't sell.

Be a great boost for Airbus and RR if Emirates do place orders for the 350-1000 hopefully the issues with the Trent engine has now been resolved to the satisfaction of Emirates.

The 777 still hasn't been certified.

Tim totally disagree with your comment there is room for another competitor in the Aero engine market (RR) particularly in the massive narrow body market P&W having major issues forcing many carriers to ground aircraft.

Tim stop wishing for something that isn't going to happen, you should be wishing that RR re-enter the narrow body aero engine market asap that's where the big money is.

Everything down is WW3 about to be declared? just an opportunity for the rich to get richer when (hopefully) the SP and markets rise again later in the week.

Why would the ship collision cause RR to drop?

It was dropping first thing this morning, certainly a buying opportunity but I'm waiting to see what happens before pressing the buy button.

Dow down 400 points so far, in reality what's different today with RR to the close on Friday?

Not the most favourable start to the week but business back to normal until we get some positive news .

Was due to fly home today from Hamburg on BA, just received notification that flight has been cancelled on checking staff have gone on strike at the main airports so no flights today or tomorrow,

luckily for me I had to cancel my trip at very short notice so thankfully not effected.

All credit though to BA when I cancelled I received full refund ( excluding £35 admin fee) and return of avios within a couple of hours .

Freetrade is easier to use compared to 212 but that's my opinion.
