I contacted my broker and he is unable to accept tender offers until after the AGM. Has anyone experience with this

what are peoples opinions, at least it is better than the original idea. As the levels of shares will sink to 67% current level is it better to lock in some profit now or wait for the post January market for GNC to find its renewed levels.

According to the independent.ie Patrick Coveney said the way the dividend would be paid could change. Any ideas on his meeting.

Assuming all is passed today, what time scale should we expect, and will a date be given for the consolidation. It is the SP on the day before consolidation will be the driver. Will they give a trading up date prior to consolidation.

Any guesses as to will they change their mind on the dividend pay out. Capital Gains will take 41% in Ireland, not shore about UK rates

I only count the cash I receive, I will only get 59% of the 72 cent . So about 43p plus my avaeage of 1.30 gives me a break even of circa 1.75.

The more I follow GNC the more I am convinced that once the American sale is completed then GNC will be taken private. It has a near monopoly in its field, it has high management costs which can be cut and will have reduced its debt levels. I am in at a low average so as long as it is above 1.35 plus special dividend I will remain covered

I would be of the same opinion, if the share rallies at all to circa 2.30 - 2.40 i will be a seller, i would buy back in after the Dividend at around 1.50 ish.

Hi can anyone answer my query. Who gets the dividend in a share when it is shorted, is it the shorter or the actual owner of the share. With the fall in the % shorted in the last 3 days, about 3%; the share price is doing bad there must be a lot of sellers, only offset by the shorter buying back in.

Some improvement today, I will take the dividend, in scrip if possible. I feel the turn around only makes it more probable that a takeover or buy out is more likely now than last week. The core company is attractive if they got rid of the current top heavy costs.

Total agreement, makes no sense unless shorters are hoping for (or will create) a collapse after the dividend is paid out.

What the F k, at 204 this gives a post rights valuation of 1.32. Anyone know the valuation put on GNC america division prior to the purchase of peacock for 750 Million dollars. That would give a better overview of the selling price of $1.1M
