Cantor Fitzgeralds opinion seems on the ball, sadly.
"As with AIB, Bank of Ireland’s share price has fluctuated markedly year-todate from lows of €5.00 to highs of just under €7.00, but at the current price
is up 13% over the period. This is markedly better than its closest peer,
AIB, which is up 4%, and only bettered by HSBC (+19%) across the
European banking sector. The sector is down 11% year-to-date, further
illustrating Bank of Ireland’s outperformance. Even given this
outperformance, at 0.5x P/B, Bank is trading in line with the sector
average. While having recently bounced off mid-term support at €5.50,
today’s actual results will temper any upward momentum that might be
expected from forward guidance."
