People are ignoring it because it is just fluff and clearly concocted to try and give people some optimism and stop the share price being destroyed by the further delay in the Lupuzor clinical programme

It was 3 years ago this month that the deal with Avion was announced.
The intention was to re-run a phase 3 trial but the FDA has knocked them back to the phase 2 stage. It probably should have been foreseen due to the anomaly in the results of the original phase 2 trial that has been pointed out below

This will delay the clinical programme for Lupuzor by around 18 months to 2 years. They will have to design a new phase 2 trial to try and determine the optimum dose, wait for further guidance from the FDA, run the trial then wait for results.
Then if successful run another 2 year phase 3 trial and wait for results of the trial. If all goes well it won't be until 2027 that the drug will get a licence

It doesn't take a genius to work it out.

I think this is an important opportunity to significantly lower the running costs of the company and remove directors that
have been taking far too much out of the company in remuneration and expenses especially in light of the poor performance given the current backdrop of historically high energy prices. If the company had been better run we would have been reaping the rewards now

There had to be an extension due to the Cadastre closure. It's only 3 months not 6 months as per last time but the deal could be signed before the expiry date. The deal is very likely to be finalised soon as Anglo would have pulled out by now if it did not want to proceed

The company did a shareholder presentation/Q&A about a month ago so likely have something interesting lined up to warrant another presentation

That together with the placing shares will act as a huge overhang

There are different reasons for a company being suspended. If a suspension is pending an announcement trading usually resumes straight after the announcement is made like in December 2020. However, how many companies make it back after announcing a suspension pending clarification of its financial position? Probably not many I suspect. See if you come find some examples.

I feel very sorry for shareholders in the company as at times RMM seemed to have potential as an investment. However, people were given a decent amount of time to at least recoup some of their investment prior to suspension.
On 9 September I wrote on this board: "Hope next RNS isn't 'suspension of trading on AIM pending clarification of financial position' but it is looking more likely".

As others have already said, I doubt they would have made this investment unless they were confident that external funding for Pitombieras will be forthcoming or had a buyer lined up for the project

£126k between them, that's a decent chunk to buy in the open market!

Looks like there are plenty of skeletons in the closet and will be very challenging for the company to get a bailout placing away in the current market

I think the company would do better under new leadership and to significantly reduce overheads.
I don't think the current 'joint' CEOs bring anything unique to the table, are overpaid and have underperformed.
It's a good opportunity to streamline the BOD IMO

This is massive news for the company.
As Colin mentions in the RNS, it is very difficult to procure funding on acceptable terms at present.
These funds will allow GLR to develop its projects for the foreseeable future without the need to dilute shareholders.
When better conditions return to commodity markets GLR's projects will very likely be worth many multiples of the current market capitalisation and an excellent investment at the current share price

Cannacord has held 5% for a while after it took over Hargreave Hale so nothing to do with Chaarat other than it has to declare Chaarat as a related party as it acts as the NOMAD

I just checked the market cap of Pacton is 11.44mCAD so 20% of that is £1.47million

They earned £358k each in 2021 including £50k bonuses up from £231k each in 2020. That seems very high considering it's just an investment company and not operating any projects. I can't see how it's a full time job for both of them
