As I said before, I am sure the new non execs will want a decent size stake. They might wait for the company split but the current sp may be just too attractive for them to pass up on.

New Non-Executive Director Kim Howell was Vice President for Commercial, responsible for BG Group's global commercial functions. He became Group Head of the Mergers & Acquisition department of BG Group plc and was responsible for over 90 transactions totalling more than $22 billion. I wonder why he has been recruited ? Could it be that Paul Atherley thinks there is currently a once in a lifetime opportunity in China which has ambitions to go the same way as the US has done in unconventional oil and gas ? Could it be that Atherley is looking to grow Leyshon aggressively and is already planning further acquisitions ?

I think he will relish the challenge of growing Leyshon Energy into a decent size player in a potentially very lucrative market.

"The potential pay zones intersected include deeper zones which are the main production horizons elsewhere in the Ordos Basin" As others have already posted the above quote is potentially very important news and in my view these are the payzones that they have been searching for as they have proved commercial for other companies. Perhaps the new seismic data helped them to locate these deeper zones.

They are clearly both very successful and highly regarded. I would expect them both to buy a substantial amount of shares in LRL. I think they are likely to take advantage of the low sp, so I do not think it will be long before an RNS is issued announcing Director share buys. That RNS alone would give a big boost to the sp.

SP is pretty volatile at the moment. I am surprised there are sellers as IMO this is only the start of the rise in the sp. Plenty of room for further sp gains

From the RNS - "Leyshon Resources will be looking to take advantage of the currently depressed asset values in the minerals sector with a view to collaboration with Chinese and other buyers." Forgive me if it has already been posted but do we have any further information about potential partners (Chinese ?) for the resource side of the business. I have thought it for a while but it would not surprise me if Leyshon Energy has already lined up some project acquisitions in the Chinese oil and gas sector. I am sure they will want to capitalise on their early mover advantage in what is such a huge market with enormous potential. Exciting times ahead.

I agree that IMM has the potential to be the new biotech darling on AIM just don't post that on the SCLP board as they will be up in arms, LOL. You appear to be invested in all my AIM stocks (LRL,IMM,JLP) apart from NCT. I think you should take a look at NCT as IMO they have some great assets,some with 100% WI. I think the CEO is very credible and can deliver the growth he has targeted with a fully funded drilling/fracking programme. They are also still very much under the radar,just see how few posts there are on their LSE share chat.

Thanks,good comparison. IMM's market cap is still a joke compared to its potential and assets.Also I think the BOD are very serious with great experience and big shareholdings. That's why after doing a bit of research I had no hesitation about buying in.

When I woke up this morning I checked LRL on ASX and was surprised to see the volume was 587,333 which is much higher than normal. News either was leaked or perhaps someone is accumulating shares.

Yes agree about IMM. Fundamentals and charts/TA are very nicely aligned. Huge upside potential with low risk IMO. Much like LRL as the cash position minimises downside risk.

I don't think it will be long before the sp is testing the highs again. Great RNS which lays the foundations for a big growth in the company. It shows they mean business !

From the RNS - "Now that the rig has been mobilized the extreme weather conditions are not expected to have any further significant impact on the drilling operations which are expected to take approximately 4-5 weeks." It did not state that they will release an RNS with 4-5 weeks so I do not think you can read anything into the fact that we have not had news yet. Like On-a-Whim says sp has been hit by impatient investors which has created a very good buying opportunity IMO

am I dreaming or did this post disappear,it seemed a reasonable one? 'With Sino doing really well next door and putting in a CRR, Paul will be desperate to release some good news. He has always dismissed Sino as financially poorly run and nabbed Mr Foo from them. Naively, I am hoping that the second well has been spud and that some VERY good news will be released. Whether this transpires or not we should know in the next 2 weeks. While any delay is not good, Paul knows he needs to get this right and so will the team.'

Hi Anthony, You have the right idea in not risking too much when you start out.There are plenty of knowledgeable posters on these boards who will be happy to answer your questions. Although you will find some very useful information here, you should always do your own research before making investment decisions. Good luck with your investment in LRL.
