@Bplanoyes: The last reported delivery to the US was on 1st of July. The latest vessel alongside was July 13th with to date no delivery report. As of today the next vessel is scheduled to be alongside on the 23rd but these schedules have been very dodgy recently. With that said there are still three vessels scheduled to arrive in July. How the planned shut down stands for deliveries is another issue of course. Rgds Pal

I have been tracking as best I can the US imports from Vanchem. Not a simple as Vametco as a lot of product crosses the Pacific with transhipment usually in Singapore. (8 to 10 weeks from loading to discharge)

Using the discharge dates I have so far found

87500 Kg for March
16000 Kg for April
106000 Kg for May
18000 Kg for June so far.

These figures are confirmed but there may be more so are for guidance only.

@Pdub: I think you are being led on a Merry Go Round this afternoon. All we need to do is sit back and watch the real show unfold here. I for one value your usual input to this board no need to fight the visitor stick to what you do best.

Share buybacks aside, with the current V price Bushveld Minerals are making a tidy profit. Many would-be producers will not be able to compete so will have to sit on the sidelines. Customers still need our product and will be very happy to buy more while prices are low, those with deep pockets will stockpile. Where will they get their product? from the Bushveld of course. We are moving all that we can produce and making arrangements to produce more.

I am confident that this stock will rise in due course, sit back and enjoy. I will be.

At the time of that post there were 4 deliveries scheduled for June. Unfortunately the vessel which was due to arrive on the 21st had a major breakdown and spent three weeks in Cape Town on a layby and a repair yard berth. It conducted sea trials off Cape Town 15th and 16th of June and eventually loaded and departed on the 23rd.

There is a vessel alongside at Baltimore today. I don't know if it is allowed but the vessel which is in today was in Cape Town during the repair period and may have picked up containers from the stricken vessel if it had any deadfreight. That might manifest itself over the next couple of days.

So today is the last visit this month and now there are 5 scheduled visits in July.

The scheduling has never been this erratic since early 2017 when I first started following deliveries. Vessels are calling at ports which were not previously on the routing but hopefully things will settle down.

I hope that makes more sense than the disaster of a final quarter at Optus Stadium where my team The Fremantle Dockers have just given the game away to Carlton.

Hopefully the Grand Prix this afternoon will be more entertaining.

The iron ore price also continues to climb, following the "supply shock" from the dam disaster at Vale's iron ore mine in Brazil in January.
The current spot price of $US118 a tonne is still well short of the 2011 record of $US191 a tonne.
However it is significantly higher than the conservative assumptions built into the WA budget, which estimates an average iron ore price of $US76.5 a tonne over the 2018/19 financial year.

@numpty5: Back again and still cannot agree with you. Trains before ships for sure. To pre-empt the inevitable I will highlight the word Ship so I don't mean the little boats that are already in service or planned for very short voyages in sheltered waters.

@Pat48: My thought is that Bushveld supplied sufficient Vanadium product to an established electrolyte manufacturer who produced and tested the electrolyte against the stringent requirements for long term use in VRFBs in order to ensure that the BE electrolyte plant will be set up correctly from the outset.

I am sure there will be others who could refute this idea which is based on observation of Vanadium movements,
