The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Interesting to see the direction of postings last night after the announcement of the largest single delivery of Nitrovan to Baltimore since The Bushveld Perspective began tracking deliveries back in March 2017.
In fact there have only been two occasions in that time when five containers have been delivered in one shipment.
So 6 containers, 113,208 Kg in one drop to the USA only (Historically 60 to 70% of sales), this is the reality of Bushveld Minerals. This is just one of the reasons that so many loyal shareholders are very positive about the future of this Company. This income is what is allowing the Board to become "A growing, low cost, vertically integrated primary vanadium producer."
So when this information is shared on a public board a few decide to join the conversation, as is their right, but to try to deflect such conversation away from the real facts which are easily verified on official government run websites.
One even posted on another of my social media sites in an agressive manner and supporting his attack with out of date information from, of all sites, British Bulls! One of the weakest, reactive information sites available.
I have no doubt that this will persist but be assured that I shall continue to monitor the vessel's delivering Vanadium cargoes which now includes those from Vanchem which will soon come under the Bushveld Minerals umbrella.
I will continue updating the information which is kindly hosted at https://thebushveldperspective.com/blog/public-articles-1/post/nitrovan-shipments-to-the-us-183.
A million dollars a week is being achieved and is a figure that many Company accountants would be very happy with.
GLA, Pal
Let us not forget: Biggest single delivery recorded at https://thebushveldperspective.com/blog/public-articles-1/post/nitrovan-shipments-to-the-us-183 since the recording began in March 2017. 23.5p!!!!!!!!
@gkb47: I use the average price of 6 weeks before delivery which has been reported by many in the past as the Company's information. It is purely an estimate and has proved to have been very close to those in the Company's annual reports.

@Pdub: I do agree with you but we should not underestimate our enemies, for long term investors that is what they are. There is ample written evidence that many of the Avatar accounts on this site are operated by teams who have difficulty disguising the fact that different people share the accounts.
Transformation programme successfully delivering higher production rates with Q2 2019 production recording the highest quarterly production rate in over two years.
· Production for Q2 2019 was 742 mtV in the form of NitrovanTM from magnetite concentrate, a 14 per cent increase relative to Q1 2019 (Q1 2019: 649 mtV), and an 18 per cent improvement relative to Q2 2018 (Q2 2018: 629mtV).
· Improvements in mine production scheduling and vanadium grade in kiln feed continues, together with an increase in the hourly feed rate to the kiln and recovery. Overall plant recovery continues to improve.
· Production for H1 2019 was 1,392 mtV, a 2 per cent increase relative to H1 2018 (H1 2018: 1,360 mtV).
· On target to meet current 2019 production guidance of 2,800 mtV to 2,900 mtV which remains unchanged, underpinned by the continued implementation of several productivity initiatives during the course of H2 2019.
· Unit production cost for H1 2019 was US$17.40/KgV, a 14 per cent reduction relative to H1 2018 (H1 2018: US$20.2/KgV), supported by a weaker ZAR relative to the USD during H1 2019, higher volumes and cost reductions.
· Unit production cost guidance of US$18.90/KgV to US$19.50/KgV for the 2019 calendar year remains unchanged due to the anticipation of a stronger ZAR relative to the USD during H2 2019.
· H1 2019 Revenue of US$74.3 million (H1 2018: US$81.2 million) and H1 2019 EBITDA of US$48.6 million (H1 2018: US$42.4 million).
· Vametco achieved an EBITDA margin in excess of 50 per cent, underpinned by strict controls on unit cost and a weaker ZAR.
· At current vanadium prices Vametco remains cash flow positive. During H2 2019 the business will continue to focus on cost control and reduction.
· Successfully completed the wage and benefits negotiations with the Association of Minerals Workers and Construction Union ("AMCU") for the 3-year period 1 July 2019 to 20 June 2022.
Vametco is a low-cost primary vanadium mining and processing company with a 186.7 Mt JORC compliant resource averaging 1.98% V2O5 in magnetite grades (including 48.4 Mt in reserves), and a life of mine of 27 years. Vametco produces a trademark vanadium product, NitrovanTM, as well as Modified vanadium oxide. Vametco is expected to produce between 2,800 mtV and 2,900 mtV in 2019.
Vametco is expected to reach a steady state production of 3,400 mtVp.a. during 2020 (90% of its processing nameplate capacity of 3,750 mtVp.a.), increasing to more than 4,200 mtVp.a. (85% of its processing nameplate capacity of 5,000 mtVp.a.) through the planned expansion programme
Bushveld owns an effective controlling interest of 74% in Vametco, the maximum equity ownership stake permitted under the current South African Mining Charter III, which requires 26% to be held by Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (“BBBEE”) shareholders.
I am relatively new to this share but have spent a couple of minutes on researching it thoroughly. I have £50,000 to spare to put into this and just wondered if there is any news about shorting of BMN? if not I think I might go for Redt.
Good morning all. Well I was so surprised to open the curtains to see such beautiful sunshine and lifted to hear the wild birds singing merrily whilst availing themselves of the meal worm that my good lady so freely lavishes upon them.
There were some fantastic posts last evening from long term holders who really know their stuff about this Company, many thanks to you all from myself and I am sure many others who may not feel confident in showing their heads apart from recommending the efforts applied.
The normally regular shipping schedules have been pretty erratic recently for a variety of reason beyond the control of those brave caretakers who man the ships, but in true British tradition two vessels discharged their containers on Thursday and Friday. A total of 75,611 Kg of Nitrovan to feed those hungry furnaces.
I hope soon to be able to report the shipments from the wider range of ports that Vanchem currently supply for Duferrco once we have completed that deal.
I believe that the tide is turning once more so enjoy the rest of the weekend and standby for the fireworks, there are currently two vessels mid Atlantic two in load ports and one approaching a load port today that may deliver more income during August. GLA Pal
Taking twelve month figures for June 2017 to May 2018 we can be confident that the totals for Nitrovan delivered to Baltimore amounted to 1,643 Tonnes with an estimated value of $68.3 million.
For June 2018 to May 2019 the figures are 1,760 Tonnes with an estimated value of $143.6 million.
The high cost of Vanadium making a rather impressive financial gain of course.
If we were to only maintain the 1,760 Tonnes figure for 2019 to 2020 we would estimate a value of $52.8 million at an average of $30 per kilo or $88 million at $50 per kilo.
That for only Nitrovan exports to the USA. We have it from the Company that output will improve following plant improvements, grade improvements and the Vanchem purchase.
This does not take into account Bushveld Energy.
Are we concerned that a few professional disruptors attack a public chat room, Yes but is it going to stop the stampede of customers knocking at the doors of Bushveld Minerals in due course?
Let them take their £20 profits, you can buy a lot of chocolate bars for 20 quid. My sights are far higher as I can tell are many of the contributors to this excellent board.
Their arrival indicates that a new rise is ahead of us.
all in my personal opinion of course, all the best Pal
In 2017, China developed world’s largest vanadium redox flow battery, a 200MW/800MWh battery manufactured by Rongke Power.
By 2025, large scale energy storage segment is expected to capture 83.8% of the total market share.
Vanadium redox batteries can cycle generally around the 20,000 range and can be easily upgraded.
In 2017, Europe accounted for a market revenue of USD 4.43 million for vanadium redox flow battery and is expected to be dominant in coming years. (From Adroit Market Research)
