sbb, yes that's what i was thinking & surprised it hasn't really been mentioned here. Surely other PE groups etc will now be sniffing around this wondering what all the fuss is about. I can't see the takeover stuff just dwindling away but nonetheless the leverage stuff does explain that big fall basically stop losses being triggered in domino fashion. The SP was well over £1 before the bid stuff so i can't see a better explanation!

If you think your house is worth £10m but the market thinks it's worth £1m probably best to live in it for a few years & wait . People been saying the housing market would crash for years but always continued north. just need to ignore the noise here. Be patient & buy into these hysteria fuelled dips!

Just buy the shares at these prices. If people were offering 1.70 & it's been refused as too low. Just buy. Logic says to me this has to rise significantly again from this level!

If you've bought this sub £1 of course a bid of £1.70 sounds great. What if you bought @IPO for £5. This share is worth much more than £1.70. Just need the hysteria to die down!

As i see it this company doesn't need a takeover. This is not a McColls or other desperate situation. Personally i'd prefer if the company is left to focus on running the core businesses rather than these distractions. That is what will ultimately push up the value & SP. Not ridiculous speculative offers to get a business on the cheap!

The house price purchase is a good example to use i think. Likewise if you were Moulding it's like you bought a house for £500k. It was then valued at £800k by an agent. Then ****y Candy the property speculator comes along & says i'll give you £170k for your gaff. No way was MM ever going to give this bid stuff any credence!

It's amazing how sentiment on a share changes so much over just a few months or so. I remember looking in on this BB when this dropped down to £3 last year. Everyone was scrambling to buy in. No brainer etc. How times have changed. But the reality is nothing has really changed. The company products etc are still fundamentally the same. Yes the macroeconomic headwinds are there & as i see it these are the things that are holding this so low. Same with companies like BOO & Cine. It's all panic & hysteria caused by media about cost of living crisis etc. Today reminded me of the March Covid drops. Believe me the world is not ending tomorrow & shares like this will rise back up again!

LPD, agreed the Halfords drop looked insane to me. May look at sticking a bit in there tomoz if the drop continues!

I bought into this one today but have been following the ups & downs of this one since the huge drops last year from £8 to £6 then £3 & the previous dip to 70s. I thought i'd missed the boat so my apologies to LTHs but i was delighted to grab a few here today. For me at least the bids at 170 always looked bizarre & hugely speculative. How can a serious big bidder expect credibility bidding at that price on a stock which IPOd at £5? it never had any likelihood of going anywhere & here it is today again. I believe the underlying business here to be at least worth £3 or more & this share is being played with by the markets big time. Why would MM not open the books to these bids? well, probably because the bids were derisory really. As i see it this price level is a huge buy opportunity if it stays remotely near the levels of today. I'll be adding more anyway. Definitely think for those with some patience this share could reap a huge ROI! GL

Today's price action strikes me very much as a short attack & nothing more really. Looking at the current short positions i'd expect more funds have increased their short position today. Can't see why the drop is so much other than that & would expect a 10-20% bounce back in next couple of trading sessions!

New investor here. Bought a fair few at 74p today. Looks well overdone this drop. Not sure if i'm missing something on this one but surely if you've had a few suitors sniffing around for 170 this is surely worth buying and holding onto for a while on that basis alone at these levels!

New investor here.Picked up 20k of these @20.55.Hopefully see a good bounce at some stage. Have sort of followed this share for ages now. since covid dips. I missed it at 18p back then. I'm sure this will come back in time!

The main reason i have stuck with this share is confidence in Iskander. This guy comes across to me as a fantastic CEO. He took over as CEO & has really worked wonders here IMO in a very short space of time. He has dealt with the long lingering SFO saga. Got ADNOC back on board & has a clear vision for this business. I though the RNS today was typical Iskander stuff. He wants to be transparent so has put his hands up that there are headwinds to face & revenues may get hit. That is now out there so no surprises. Many CEOs would have said nothing & it would have dropped later on. This is all part of his strategy as one of the biggest hurdles PFC has is regaining trust after all the bribery scandals. Clearly there are a lot of new investors on this BB. Take some time to view Iskander's historic webcasts. I've been in invested in lots of different shares but this guy is definitely one of the best CEO's i've heard speak. PFC will do well under this chap i'm convinced of that but it will take time that is all. We all want the SP to rise & hey come on for those of us who've been here a while, a rise from £1 to £1.50 in 2 months isn't too bad guys! Keep the faith. GLA

No brainer for these oil companies to spend, spend, spend now. It's like the Chancellor saying to us you can pay income tax or you can spend the cash on a house extension. Bit of a mad policy really but this Govt is a total crock of nonsense!

More reason than ever now for the big oil/gas companies to open their wallets & invest in all the neglected CAPEX spend. This should be great news for PFC/Wood, HTG et al!!

Bed wetters panic selling here. Nothing of any great significance in that RNS. Will get blown away by an ADNOC contract. Buying opportunity as i see it!

In the end a big storm in a teacup over a thruppence price drop. Bed wetters can throw their sodden nappies away now. Tomorrow's another day. Patience & calm will bring reward here!

Yes i've been in this since the Lufkin dips. Made a good few bob here last year loading up in the 90s & bailing out in the 140s. Got back in after SFO resolution & got a bit shafted by the capital raise falls but have loaded up as much as possible sub 110 so now have a very large amount of these now which i'm not going to even consider selling in the short term. Now all the headwinds are gone here IMO this should easily be 250+ before too long. This share needs an ADNOC/MENA contract RNS to drop. That is the catalyst which will get this flying & i feel that one will be coming in the not too distant future!

PFC was at this price 2 weeks ago & everyone was cheering & clapping. Get real folks. This is the stock market. No straight line rises here!

'when you consider the history'? Pablo are you invested here? i've never seen you comment before. This company did a capital raise last year. The first in it's history. This is a FTSE250 business, not an AIM lifestyle gimmick!
