Deos i been a bit stung on this one as it stands at the moment. Been nothing but down since i bought in mid 230s but it's just because news has been bad since then: US virus resurgence, quarantines etc. i thought i was cursed, but hey i'm averaged out at 205 & i'm going to hold. i don't think this can fall much more. it's at 12 month lows now. in a few weeks it be up again!

if a vaccine was announced it would go £4, regardless of rights issue!

i have a similar size holding & am a bit reluctant to stump up more cash at the moment. i imagine this is a lot of peoples concern, & that is why they have the option to sell your nil paid rights. all depends on how generous the offer is and what the market's like at the time

they would have to make it attractive to ensure take up, i would guess about 20% off the prevailing market price on a given date

deos you get the same deal whether you paid 230, 160 or 650

yes, always discounted, sometimes deeply discounted. In the BT one SP was £5.62 & rights were 3 for 10 at £3

be surprised if SP stays at this level for long but who knows!

as we all know, a lot can change in a month here!

agreed, this has been very poorly handled & the one thing this market hates is uncertainty. i don't expect much movement on SP unless short sellers come in!

WW said he expects IAG to break even by Q4 so this RI must be for acquisitive purposes. i imagine some competitors will be struggling before too long!

i believe the EZJ RI shares were issued for 265p each. that looks like a pretty good deal today!

Obviously some peeps here think if you don't take your rights up your shares get diluted in value & you get nothing. Many, will choose not to exercise their rights as they may not have funds. you just sell the rights. might not get a great price for them but they are effectively a note to buy shares at a certain price. You can transfer them to a friend or relative if they want to buy cheap shares!

even then, IAG should sell your rights on the open market & pay you the proceeds. That's how it worked during BT's RI anyway!

Existing shareholders should only lose out in a rights issue if they do not exercise or sell their rights. Reason it is seen as negative by markets as perception of cash strapped company!

Cheap share boy, more like no share boy. didn't read post did you. You can sell nil paid rights. you won't have rights because obvious another messy!

After 0815 yesterday this share was the most stable i've seen it for a long, long time. Given the trade volumes i suspect we are near bottomed out here & can't be much more bad news for this share, 70p drop in a week is a bitter pill i have to say but thing will only get better!

if there was an institutional placement i imagine lots here wouldn't worry to much but it would cause dilution without you having any 'rights' did anyone here take up EZJs RI?
