if they rise on Monday you will have lost as you sold 10000 shares out of 30000 each averaged out on price at 1.52 for 1.51 and you won't be able to buy them back!

yes, so you held 30000 shares at an average price (1.52) higher than your selling price of 151!

if you bought shares at 156 then sold at 151, you made a loss!

Hi guys, i've been watching this share closely for last few weeks, & when the dip happened Thursday couldn't resist taking a position. Pulled all my investment from IAG (difficult experience that one!) & got in here. Quite frankly this share looks absurdly underpriced & the trading report actually didn't look too bad given the current environment. Looks like this share is well supported at the low 140s as well. Am feeling very optimistic about this one!

Teddy i admire your optimism. As you know i was in on IAG from the 230s, managed to come out on a small gain due to averaging down etc but this share is the hardest one to call i ever been involved in. So much short selling & dodgy goings on from MMs. I still see IAG as a long term sound investment. At the moment with all the uncertainties i would only go back in around 170ish but i've no doubt the share is being falsely pushed up to inflate the RI price so i'm well sceptical about it!

Hi Teddy, I bailed out at 215, bought into NEX on the FTSE250 today at 148. Will get back in here tomoz as looks like a 160-170 day or even lower!

it is frustrating & i been averaging down regularly too on this. The constant downtrend has tempted me to bail out & cut my losses, but to be fair the news has just not gone this shares way for last 6 weeks or so. Pretty sure we're near the bottom now though so i just gonna try to stay away from share price pages this week & not check it out till next weekend.

Croft, you sound like you got the panic sell jitters. Yes this share is risky that is why it's so low priced. If you think COVID will be with us forever & aviation won't get back to any sign of normality it is unwise to hold this share. You have to believe that the share has intrinsic value which personally i do, so i'll hold it. i think other than the pandemic this is a fundamentally sound business which will ultimately reward those who stick with it!

on that 1:1 basis the 'unpaid right' would be around 22p per share, which is tradeable. is that correct?

Lets be honest, the market has done a grand job of diluting these shares for us all anyway in last few weeks. I would like it to be done with & lets get on with it, all negative stuff out the way, company has cash in bank & safe & in strong position for the foreseeable. SP can only go up from there!

LOL yep no doubt about it recent behaviour has been worse than an AIM penny stock

Don't forget also 4 weeks is a long time . look at SP between 15th May-6th June!

noones shares are halved or quartered in value just like that by RI. I think the market has done a good enough job of that recently!

& if you don't trade them you still get paid the difference by the underwriters, though probably at a rubbish price!

Croft, you will have an opportunity to sell nil paid rights. The level you get is@ current market price less theoretical ex rights price so current investors who do not take the rights do not get hit at least not too much. That's the theory anyway

The 3 main issues to consider whether to take up the rights as i see it are:
1)can you spare the extra cash
2)why you think the extra cash is being used
3) do you think SP will rise in the future

The simple equation to use theoretical ex rights price is new mkt cap (eg here around 6b) by number of new shares in issue (here on a 1-1 basis would then be 4b). In a nutshell when they announce the price it will work out profitable to take up the rights if you want to spend the money. However between that time & official trading day market price may fall so you would lose!

yes they bought them at 265 so did very well on it!

won't see a June style rise over 300 (that was bizarre) but could get back in the 200s before too long i think. All dependent on news really. Not many more negatives left to hit this one with!

not seen 140s since 2012 mind so that is me at my most pessimistic!
