strange behaviour here. hanging around the £1 level a long time. wondering if the shorts will hit it again later!

That was my thought too Jagman. One company says they don't want PFC to tender for contracts is no great shakes really as they may not have got them anyway. The problem is the notion that others may follow which i don't buy as it's because Lufkin's charge were specific to UAE contracts. As someone who plans to hold these for a long term investment the dip in itself while annoying doesn't bother me too much & i wasn't spooked when they dropped to 101 in January. What investors need to understand is that any of us PI's panic selling is all that fuels the shorters. If PI's don't sell the shorts disappear it is that simple. They will not keep selling shares on the cheap if it doesn't provoke the desired reaction. In the end they will eventually close out & the SP will recover from their activity anyway. Best policy is not to have any stop losses on these shares, relax & don't sell. Top up though if you want an increased investment as i will be anyway if they dip much lower! GL

& if you think that RNS justifies knocking £100m of a companies value you're in cuckoo land mate!

Jonny, you were harking on about Rolls Royce earlier. Have you looked at that stock 'honestly'? if so you wouldn't invest there!

Jimmy, it is one client out of very many. I think it's just a stirring up of the SFO hornet's nest tbh. Hopefully it might stir up new CEO Iskander in maybe trying to proactively resolve the SFO stuff. The SP will be held down in the short term, same as the January stuff really, but this share's outlook could change at the drop of a hat(or RNS)!

Jonny, you have stated you have no intention of investing here. Not even @70p. So why post at all, if you have no ulterior motive?

yes Poker & many companies have been happily doing business with PFC for the last 4 years since SFO thing started. Today's stuff is a storm in a teacup. will blow over very quickly!

Today's market capitalisation is £378m. Well, one contract win recently was worth £300m & they have $1bn of equity. Do the maths. Great value at these prices!

Yes Modestus, i too am curious why Jonny 2 toes has written loads of entries today but nothing since he claims to have bought in @115 after the January dip. I believe if he did buy at 115 he probably sold for a few pence profit a while back. Has seen today's drop & is anxious to buy in again. That is the reality!

Those who bought in here/were invested here around the dips after 15th Jan will recall a BB very similar to today's with loads of new names on board spouting ridiculous levels the SP could fall to. It very briefly dipped to 101-103 levels but as i recall very few were even allowed a buy @ those prices. So it trundled along for a few days at today's type of price. Then the Gamestop euphoria happened & everyone was jumping in here. Same thing will happen again over the next few days here!

The company has denied any wrongdoing vehemently ever since this SFO stuff has started. I talked about this the other day on here. PFC have had the opportunity to agree a DPA in the past but have declined as they have not done any wrong. As someone said earlier this does have the smell of a witchhunt now. The SFO should either charge the company or leave them alone.

The company has over 1bn in equity. No financial issues at present. Today's news isn't good but who knows what RNS could drop in a few days. We just don't know. Core thing is don't panic!

Mark, it is fine. it's what these boards are for. Hold tight on all those shares & don't listen to the doomslayers. This is a solid business & the SFO stuff will eventually be resolved. You're sitting on a goldmine there!

Mark, please look on Petrofac website. PFC has operations all over the globe. UAE is just one part of the jigsaw!

the dips of January were an investment opportunity. This is just more of the same. Bit like with results etc, the furore dies down & the SP rises back up!

Jonny, i've got a lot of PFC shares & i've always taken a long term view on this as an investment. I've always said this is a volatile number & there will be lots of ups & downs along the way. Your 70p prediction is bizarre & without justification & is pure scaremongering. You invested here before & you are trying to scaremonger the more naive investors as you want to buy back @ a low price. This share is awaiting the same catalyst that fuelled the travel stocks that is all. Vaccine in the case of travel. SFO case concluded here. Once this SFO nonsense is put to bed today's SP will be a distant memory! To those waiting for £1 or below i say best of luck but i don't think you'll get it!

JTT, the drop is artificial in the same sense that the 15th Jan drop was too. It is fuelled by shorts & you can see that in the big movements. It is not fuelled by PI's selling. It is the same shorting activity which occurred in January. Watch this share next couple days. Maybe dip to a certain level then a steady bounce back. Shorters taking out stop losses, then when they encounter buyer resistance they close & SP rises again. Manipulative games pure & simple!
