Was away last two weeks or so and the sp has lost about 20%. Reasons unknown - No RNS's, no news in general. 3 Brokers have targets of 101p, 117p, & 136p since Jun 20th. More questions than answers.

With my nominee holding, I found out today ALL my holding was accepted in the offer @ 36p. So I no longer have any SEA shares - worked out I could buy them all back today @ 34.7p and I'd be £27 up! I must get some chicken feed. I'm going to wait for a lower entry but when are LOGP issuing any results that could seriously up this sp - anyone know?

The only bit that concerns us in their quarterly report is from Page 5: 'Initial drilling at the Kisi epithermal prospect on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea has intersected breccia with associated low level gold mineralisation, assaying 9m @ 0.87g/t Au and 8.4g/t Ag from 179m in KD0001. Drilling in this area continues.' TPJ’s interest in the venture is 15.2%

Nothing has changed my mind that the whole buyback and 10p back to shareholders was a complete debacle. The directors and others are now completing their spin off and potential pay off. 19m shares cancelled and now 5m issued and snaffled away for the employees(BOD!) The sp will rise from here on IMO - so I'm buying more. I've presumably sold 28% (i.e 5 ordinary shares for every 18 ordinary shares held) plus 38.274585 per cent. of my excess application(I applied to sell ALL, i.e the other 13 of my original 18). When I've worked that out, I'll know how many I need to buy to have the same holding as before the debacle and, I should be about 10p up in TOTAL not per share, by my initial reckonings.

Take the time to Vote NO if you feel like it. Just contact your nominee account holder and instruct them, that's what I've done but bizarrely I've accepted the offer for ALL my shares too. My average luckily was 28p anyway and I, like you, do believe the sp will go up after the tender but not immediately. GL

This whole business is a fiasco. I'm going to offer ALL my shares for tendering @ 36p AND Vote against the tender offer, hoping it is defeated. Please consider whether you want to instruct your nominee account holder to vote for or against the offer. If this is getting 10p back for each share I own I'm lost. Crazy man. I don't like the New Incentive Offer being dreamt up at the same time as the tender either. This is complicated but strikes me it's going to benefit the BOD quite a lot from the concentrated share position of the company, post tender.

With regards taking the 36p offer or not, the only debate is what will the sp be on the 25th July post tender. If this drops 10p or a bit less, we're going to look pretty stupid not taking the offer. If this is over 36p after tender we're also going to look stupid taking the offer. Personally, I think the company has been ill advised and has made a bad decision and will not be returning 10p per share to each shareholder which is what it wanted to do. 69m shares, give 10p for each share we own - £6.9m. This is surely not going to happen now. Perhaps there won't be the take up of 28.8%, perhaps there will. The whole thing is crazy and has left discerning shareholders with a logistical nightmare.

The only news explaining the falls is the PNG political turmoil. To put the latest falls into context, we were at this horrendous low level around 20th June before we had some good rises - these have now been reversed. I post a link to a Newcrest joint venture very near to our JV with Newmont the Wafi-Golpu in Morobe province. This article is from yesterday and is very positive. Going back to TPJ's RNS on 10 Feb 2012, this indicated Newmont would consider the drilling results here and is also considering drilling results at Gumots 12 km south of Wafi-Golpu. (Newcrest is drilling in our JV at Manus Island PNG too). Cheers M8, I'm not on my own then. Can't figure the directors putting all this mumbo jumbo on them making regular purchases when they're sooooo small. I believe putting out an RNS costs about £150 so every time they buy about £1k of shares they are going to waste this on an RNS. I worked out on Monday their purchase was all done as one Buy 0.14p 892,857, so at least they managed to save on dealing costs splitting them between the five of them - cheapskates.
