Don't know what all that trading is about today but this share has fallen all it can IMO. Cash at hand(£1.2m) is worth market cap plus, I believe, we have $750,000 and £135,000 owing to us, plus we have 'tax losses' if anyone takes us over or moves us on. Don't leave now I'll switch the lights off in a year or two - lol.

Back on board! Not been in since the Tender Offer last year but like the look of this rebounding from here. A Special Divi would be nice too.

Thanks for your thoughts, haven't got much to add myself but holding for a recovery. The Indian exchange rate is crucial here I know and it's down about 10% against the dollar in the last 9 weeks - that won't help will it?

Thanks for link to article - found it, as you said, from your username. This company has survived and really does seem to have some big films/characters in it's portfolio. I like everyone else in this share am massively down. Do you see much in the next year for recovery? At least the last 10 days or so seem to be stabilising the sp.

As I said Friday, not sure how to read MAFL's RNS. It certainly sounds as if they feel they will not lose all, so just gotta hope that includes us. We should get an RNS v.soon - any way I will try the Nomad Scott around Wednesday if nothing by then. Everything crossed.

Yes, finally found that RNS by MAFL on iii - a Net Asset Value RNS, presumably these aren't widely published. I wish I'd seen this before calling the Nomad. What to make of it? Perhaps their writing down of this loan is mere accounting good practice as obviously the loan is in doubt. Perhaps we can also read into this statement that indeed negotiations are ongoing. Personally not sure how good it reads. It certainly seems to say, the affair is not going to be a complete write off for MAFL. Does 'A process to recover the Silvermere vehicle with new investors' bode well? Not sure. Will attempt next week to broach the whole subject of this RNS with our Nomad team. Scott, who I've spoken to twice always starts with 'there is nothing I can say, the company will release the information when it has it' etc, so I can't ring him too often when he doesn't basically want to discuss anything. Will try.

All he could let out was that things are still ongoing, so, you never know. These 'other' parties again he even more clearly mentioned this time. It surely is not a King's ransom to bail this one out if there's anything there to bother about. GL I've already had to write off ANGM and NGL this year - really hope this isn't the third.

Scott Mathieson of Sanlam told me negotiations are still ongoing. It is obviously in all parties' interests for these to come to a useful conclusion. These discussions involve Silvermere with Dominion, MAFL and Other parties. He doesn't see the passing of Dominion's deadline of 15th July as terminal and again stated that as soon as the company has anything definite to announce, it will. -------------------------------------------------- So, it's really 'as you were' and keep everything crossed. July 15th does not mean it's all over.

This IT along with other Japanese investments has recovered well again. I've decided to cash in if this starts dropping again below £3. Notice the FTSE, gold all well up after Bernanke's latest speech -dollar down. Will this strengthening in the Yen not be good again for Japanese exports and BGS? I'm monitoring closely now 'cause really didn't like the downward swing over the previous 2 months. Very volatile for an IT this one.

I'm getting nervous - every time I look on investegate RNS's I keep thinking have I got anything left with SLME or just slime. It's certainly a binary situation now, no more words, no more meetings, no more delays, no more waiting for flow-rates, it's a simple : Yes or No

Talking of Shares mag - they did an update yesterday : weather-related probs; resignation of FD; corporate governance concerns resurfaced; year-end net cash of £240m represents 85% of the £286.4m market cap; value seekers might see it as a time to buy. Market Cap - they have 85% of this in cash! So all the orange trees, land, processing plants etc are valued at £26.4m only. Would love to buy more but a bit strapped for cash.

I had a good chat just now to Sanlam Securities UK Limited, Scott Mathieson, part of the Nomad team. He confirmed that Silvermere are indeed in ongoing negotiations trying to find the best outcome for the company and the shareholders. He said that they, the Nomad team, are absolutely satisfied and happy that the directors are going about the matter in a proper way for the best interests of all concerned. He indicated that they are hopeful that there will be an update on matters before the 15th July. I quizzed him on Dominion selling off the rights of the well to the best bidder must mean the well is worth selling and he said that that could be inferred. He also let slip that the company is in discussions with more than just MAFL on financing. This he did not state but I detected in the conversation. Anyway, sounded hopeful to me - All above board, ongoing discussions in the plural, oil well inferred as commercially productive, time is of the essence and everyone knows it.

At least they have updated us. Talks ongoing sounds better than talks over, you're dead.

Shock horror - thought it was our update, now THEY are suspended.

that despite all the problems and lack of communications, the well IS flowing and Dominion and MAFL will want this sorted just as much as we do. Therefore, it might get sorted. MAFL were very quick a few weeks back to say they were still in discussions after our suspension announcement. I said before Dominion have made a pretty empty threat to sell off our percentage in the well if it's not flowing and worth nothing - therefore it's probably flowing. Keep the faith SLiMErs.
